TAMPING D OG A SSEMBLY
The Tamping Dog Assembly (DA) FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
is used with a liner setting tool to
set liner top packers, and is installed
as a component of the setting tool.
The spring-loaded tamping dogs are
actuated after releasing the running
tool. Work string slack off weight is
transferred through the dogs into the
tieback receptacle and into the pack-
ing element, setting the packer.

C EMENTING PACK O FFS
The Cementing pack off
seals the annular area between the
work string and the top of the liner.
Several different types are used
to achieve this seal; their usage is
dependent on well
conditions and preferences.
R ETRIEVABLE C EMENTING B USHING
The Retrievable Cementing Bush-
ing (RCB) is comprised of a body
with locking lugs, interior and exte-
rior seals. The bushing seats and
locks into a profile machined into
the liner setting adapter or a profile
sub. A polished OD slick joint com-
pletes the assembly. The RCB pro-
vides a fully retrievable seal between
the liner and the work string.
