Pitch notes

Idea:

• My idea is to create a visually compelling production that follows my

journey as I build my very own guitar. It is a participartory
documentary, in which you will follow me as I put this guitar together,
from my idea just being a concept to having the guitar in my hand. It
will follow my emotions as I progress with my build.

• I came up with the idea when talking to a friend about his product
design course.

Context:

About my client/what I’m required to make:

• Product design student at a sixth-form college.

• His is the same age as me and our productions coincided with each
other.

• He is making modular pick-up mount for acoustic and semi-acoustic

guitars.

• He is tasked me with shooting product video which shows o how the

mount works and how can be useful for many guitarist’s. This “video”
will be apart of my over arching production as I piece the guitar
together.

Target Audience:
• 18-36, this is what research has shown me are most likely to engage
with my production.

• Talk about the craft trend on social media, and how people who may
not want to build a guitar would still watch it.

• I am going to connect with my target audience using Narration and A

strong narrative.

Why my production should be made:

• It follows current trends on social media.

• Because I have a client who wants the video to use for re-sale
purposes

• I haven’t seen anything that covers all the areas I am, Narration,
good lming.
• I am passionate about guitars.

• I want to create something visually compelling and draw more people

into the guitar world.

Restriction and how I can over come them:

• I don have to rely on crew

• COVID-19 won’t e ect me

• I have to order tools and components, make sure to order them

with plenty of time
• This shoot will take a long time to do and ti may lose out on editing
time, Make sure I get every shot right take extra precautions.

Social context:
• Want the audience to feel uplifted after watching.

• Want them to feel like they have learnt something about guitars/
gained some interest.

• Want them to feel like they have followed my story.
