Whenever I reflect on who helped shape me into the person I am today, my answer
environment and an engaging learning experience, they were able to teach me life lessons that I
will always remember. I have learned to problem-solve, give back to my community, see the
best and bring out the best in others, value teamwork, and persevere. In addition to providing
students with the education they deserve, becoming a teacher will allow me to positively change
I believe all students can learn, just not in the same way. As a teacher, my practices will
include valuing students’ personal attributed, providing equitable access to the curriculum, and
creating opportunities for success. I will make an effort to create an experience for all of my
students to engage and learn from as I believe that experience is one of the best forms of
teaching. I also believe curiosity and mistakes are the best forms of learning. I would like
students to be curious to enrich their learning as I want them to look forward to finding their
answers in the learning process. Additionally, mistakes are one of the best forms of learning. In
addition, I believe learning from mistakes is a great teacher. I’ve experienced classrooms where
mistakes are viewed as failures. However, when I see students make a mistake, I always
emphasize that they should value them because it will only help them to become better.
I believe that students should be provided with a nurturing and welcoming learning
environment. At the end of every school day, I want everyone to find themselves wanting to
come back to school. Children will always bring diversity to the classroom. Thus, I want my
students to understand that although we are not all the same, we should always value each other
and try to bring out the best in others to bring out the best in ourselves.

My expectations for students are students should always strive to bring out the best in
themselves and the best in others. During my student teaching, I had my students reflect on their
behaviors throughout the school day to give them responsibility for their actions. I want them to
be honest with themselves to continuously improve so they can be the best students that they can
be. In addition, I want them to know that my expectations are the same for me as a teacher. I
strive to create the best learning environment possible so we can bring out the best in others to
teaching. In the education field, teachers often reflect on how the school day went. They think
about what went well and what could’ve been better. Through the process, we learn that there is
always room for improvement. When we’re open to always improving, we are consistently
aiming to be the best that we possibly can. In the end, we can create a classroom environment
that isn’t only accommodating to us, but the students’ personal needs.
