Since childhood, I have a great interest in creating and writing stories.

My grandmother used to
read me a story every night, which actually became my habit. I cannot sleep without reading.
The stories that my grandmother read to me and the ones that I read were mostly in my native
language. Until the age of 15, when I first grabbed my hands on the Harry Potter series, and it
changed my views about story writing since then. It helped me in broadening my vision and
fantasy. It motivated me to write, and I started writing in my school competitions and for my
friends. Since the age of 16, I am writing stories in my native language. Now I want to learn
story writing in English. Though I have good English writing and reading skills, I want to learn
about it at a professional level and pursue a career in the English medium of screenwriting.

However, my interest in media communication develops quite recently. I am quite good but
obviously not a pro at story writing, but now I want to learn about screenwriting on a
professional level. I want to enhance my writing skills in creativity and literature and want to
implement them into screenwriting. I want to learn the media subjects to understand better where
and how I stand in this writing profession, especially screenwriting.

While writing this, I am thinking of all the possible reasons I choose The University of West
London. First and foremost, my love for this city is immense. I always wanted to live and
experience the life of London. Among several universities that I survey, I find the University of
West London best to pursue my passion for writing and media communication. The environment
of the university felt quite welcoming and encouraging. I believe the faculty is very efficient as
98% of the graduate of the universities goes straight to employment within six months of
graduation. That shows a lot about the caliber of the institutes as well as the faculty members.
The university's ranking has improved a lot in the current years as it jumped 31 places in The
Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020 - the biggest rise in the UK.

I am looking forward to studying in your prestigious institute and fulfill my passion and dreams.
