Welcome, March!
In Greece, it's tradition to
wear a red and white
bracelet during the month of
March. This bracelet, called
"martis", is said to protect the
skin from the hot
Mediterranean sun that re-
appears in the spring.
Red is meant to symbolize
vitality, health, and the light
of a rising or setting sun, and
the white color is said to be a
sign of beauty, innocence,
and joy.
This Month's Recap
A LOT has been going on at CSDE this month!
Anmol, Key, and Afrina have all been killing it at
data mining and making progress every day. Holly
and Staci have been revising reviewer's feedback on
submitted papers, and Holly has been also doing the
same for the Spencer Inclusive PE proposal. Anna,
Margy, and Despoina created highly professional
and informative presentations and panels for CEC,
while Barbara and Regine have been working on
finding a new summer space for Camp Shriver,
Finally, Margy and Despoina have been drafting a
Theory of Change model for the SEL project.
But after work hours, much more has been
happening in our team's lives! Afrina helped her
sister move to Atlanta and is staying with her for a
little while before returning to Florida. Anmol started
his Human Rights Based Approaches to Social
Justice class and is now interim chair of the union's
Committee on Racial Equity - congrats! Regine
started a 60-day transformation fitness challenge and
has been working on eating better. Last but not least,
Sona graduated puppy class!
