Contents of the Project report:
(i) Introduction to the company: from the financial angle
(ii) Working Capital Management in a company: Nature of business, type of working
capital required, how a firm estimates its working capital needs (operating cycle) ,
issues in working capital management and working capital management policies etc.
(iii) Research Methodology: (i) Objectives
(ii) Methods of data collection
(iii) Duration of the study
(iv) Data Analysis (to be presented in the form of tables and the graphs) & interpretation
(v) Findings and discussion of the results
(vi) Conclusion

Targeted business: Restaurant, beauty salon, cafe, retail store, any manufacturing company etc.

A group can choose any business located in Pune or any part of a country. Also collect the following
information required for based on the following pointers which will form a part of its data analysis:

I. Current Assets: (i) Inventory Management: Inventory management policy, techniques of inventory
management, process of managing inventory and inventory turnover ratio etc.

(ii) Receivables Management: credit policy of a company, Debtors turnover ratio.

(iii) Cash Management: Cash in hand / bank and investment in short term investments (the types of short
term investments)

Analyse short term solvency of a company with the help of: Current ratio, liquid ratio and absolute liquidity
ratio and ratios showing the working capital management of a company.

II. Current Liabilities: (i) Accounts payables: trends in accounts payables and creditors turnover ratio.

III. Impact of COVID-19 on the select business in terms of working capital.
