FINE ART
Allie Sarinana was born in Savannah, Geor-
gia and grew up 30 minutes south of Rich-
mond, Virginia.
Allie has been a creative since they were a
toddler.
Allie is passionate about design equity.
She believes everyone deserves to have a
personal experience with design no matter
what.
Allie strives to reach their goal in accomo-
dating that right for everyone through her
design efforts.
Allie has interests outside of design as well,
such as painting, ceramics, traveling, and
shopping for houseplants.
For this project, we were instructed to choose a business that
does not have a store front and create one for them.

I chose a successful Richmond artist I have been following for a

couple of years, called Elizabeth Few. Elizabeth Few is a textile
artist who dyes luxurious silks with local botanics she finds.

My concept for the space was what I call ‘The Meadow Concept.’
I wanted people to feel immersed in a creative, natural environ-
ment. As if they were picking fresh flowers like the textile artist.
I believed using this concept would not only be an experiential
space, but also emphasize Elizabeth Few’s ethical sourcing of dye
materials.
I did so by creating a repeated archway and light fixtures in-
spires by silk worm cocoons, using carpet to resemble moss on
seating and display fixtures, and using a clothing line display of
garments.

For this project we were assigned a random painting and
were told to create a client based off of that painting. My
painting was The Fate of The Animals by Franz Marc. This
painting is depicting a WWI scene with animals. My client is
a prestigious, studious, historian who enjoys the finer things
in life. They prefer to be alone and enjoy dark academia as-
thetics.

The idea behind this project was
to redesign a community bank in
order to appeal to a wider audience.
Stylization, space variation, and
movement were considered during
the redesigning process in order
to create a visually and physically
alluring environment.
This Design was intended to have a hom-
ey atmosphere for customers and staff. My
concept centers around creating a modern-
ized, refined space, with timeless attributes
that make Richmond, Virginia our ‘village’.
I brought emphasis on Village Bank’s motto,
“You’re a neighbor not a number” by adding
personal touches that envokes sentimental
attachment to locals.

I asked what people thought of
when Richmond, Virginia came to
mind.
