DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System

Purpose: To install YUASA, 12 Volt, 12 Amp hour cart batteries to improve the life of
the cart batteries.

Important

• Qualified service personnel must perform this modification.

• See the Carestream Service Portal for possible updates before doing this modification.
• When doing the procedures in this document, you must use safe work practices and wear the correct
personal protective equipment (for example, safety eyewear) according to your company’s standard
operating procedures.
• When servicing this equipment, be sure to read and follow the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheets for
any chemical, cleaner, solvent, paint, lubricant, adhesive, or replacement battery to understand proper
use and disposal precautions.
Service Effects: Install YUASA, 12 Volt, 12 Amp hour cart batteries and update with Mod 79
CMB battery firmware.

Important
Do not mix Interstate cart batteries with YUASA cart batteries in the same
DRX-Revolution system.

Installation Time: 8.0 hours
• 1.0 hour for installation of Mod 79
• 2.0 hours for installation of Mod 80
• 4 to 5 hours to fully charge the batteries before operating the
DRX-Revolution

Parts Status: Available from Service Parts Management
Parts Requirements: To replace all 20 cart batteries, you must order 4 of the following:
YUASA, 12 Volt, 12 Amp hour cart battery, lead acid, charged, 5 pack,
SPAD2095.

Install the Batteries

Install the Batteries

1. To remove and replace the cart batteries, see the Adjustments and Replacements for
the DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System, AR1243-1.
2. Perform the “Calibrate the Charger Monitor Board (CMB)” procedure, see the
Adjustments and Replacements for the DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System,
AR1243-1.
