COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to acquaint the students with some of the essential
skills of leadership which are crucial in determining the success or failure of any enterprise. In addition,
this course also addresses the importance and techniques of working effectively as a leader in teams.
Students will learn the art of leadership as practiced by some of the leading gurus of management. They
will also learn about group dynamics in modern day business organizations.

BEHAVIORAL OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate the basic knowledge and understanding of leadership concepts.
2. Describe and explain what is involved in various fundamental leadership skills.
3. Identify and critically examine various personality traits and forms of intelligence impacting on
leadership.
4. Analyze the role of leadership in relation to organizational culture and organizational change.
5. Demonstrate understanding of the role of power and influence in relation to leadership.
6. Analyze the importance of ethical values of a leader.
7. Apply leadership concepts and theories to professional practice in the workplace.
