Basic Competence:
Students are able to change direct speech into indirect speech in various
medical situations.
By the end of this topic, students are able to:
1. Change imperative sentence into indirect speech
2. Change yes/no questions into indirect speech
3. Change wh-questions into indirect speech
4. Change statements into indirect speech

A. IMPERATIVE (kalimat perintah)


The doctor asked the nurse, “Check the woman temperature!” (DS)
The doctor asked the nurse to check the woman temperature. (IS)

The doctor asked the nurse, “Take the patient blood pressure!”
The doctor asked the nurse to take the patient blood pressure.

The doctor asked me, “Check his respiratory pulse!”
