“for a quick nap in a snap”

Trisha Patel
Sole Ownership
● I chose to be a sole owner because it allows me to have personal creative rights within my small business and I earn all of
my profits, without having to share that, or just my business in general with others such as partners. This allows me to
alter the business to my liking and gives me 100% control and ownership of Nap Time. Furthermore, with a small
business, not as much equity is required, which me allows be to be able to put forth my own money and makes me more
feasible to have more ownership.
● In addition, I chose this type of business to cater towards those in the airport who maybe need to grab a quick nap
between flights or are on their way to travel and don’t want to sleep in the plane. This is a business I personally wish is
around for when I travel, so I can take a break in between long flights and really feel energized by a nice nap, because
who really sleeps on planes? This business would allow people to feel the comfort of their own home from the airport in
order to revive themselves from the exhaustion of long travels and dreadful airplane naps.
● With this type of ownership comes some advantages along with the disadvantages, which means as a sole owner I would
get to take all benefits and profits along with the failures. Some advantages would include that I get to have full
ownership and say, and sole ownerships are also easier to open because all I would need is to fill out is certain forms and
legal documents such as Payroll Tax Forms and Sales Tax Forms, in addition to the application form to lease the space in
DFW airport. In terms of the disadvantages, I would need to be putting all of my own money up front to start this
business by paying for the space, equipment, employees, etc., with that I will also be 100% liable for anything that occurs.

Nap Time Location

Restaurants
Retal
Hotel
I chose this location inside of an airport because I believe it will cater towards travelers the
most who are looking for a place to rest. This specific location I believe would gain the most
Major highway popularity because it is an international terminal, so we get a lot of people coming from all
over the world after long hours on an airplane. Our target audience is mainly adults and
elderlies who travel alone rather than in families because it will make it easier for them to grab
a quick nap alone without have to worry about their kids or other familial members to
interfere.

Social Responsibility
❏ Our social responsibility to our customers here at Nap Time is to create a safe and comfortable
environment that allows them to rest and relax after or before the stress of a flight. This is
intended to provide with them a sense of relief that they are having the best service possible and
can enjoy a nice nap before embarking on their travels.
❏ Our main goal is to accommodate to all travelers in order to help them take a load off, because
we all know how stressful, and draining it is not only physically but mentally too. The concept of
this place is to help those passengers who need a little rejuvenation and a place to rest their body
and mind for an affordable price.
❏ We look forward to giving back to our community by donating some of our annual profits to
Melville Charitable Trust, to get homeless people reclaim their lives, one nap at a time.
❏ We will support the project by taking our proceeds to help buy beds for some of these homeless
people, and hopefully one day provide them with the necessities they need to start their lives and
regain the confidence they may need to go out and get a job.
❏ We will ask customers if they would like to round up their balance, or donate money to this
cause. We will also put out flyers to spread the word, and donation boxes for passengers to
donate money in. There will also be other donation boxes inside the business for clothes and
other items. Lastly, a fundraiser will be held to help donate to the cause.
❏ We think it is important to give back to our community and donate our money, even if it is a little
act, to help a special cause to change one life at a time. 9

Target Audience
● My target audience is mainly adults traveling either domestic or even international for
business trips, early flights, layovers. The age groups could anyone over the age of 18
or older, both male and female. Some characteristics that will make me successful in
selling my business to a particular customer is our welcoming and soothe
environment in order to provide them with a relaxing nap during their travel
experience.
● The type of customer that will utilize my business is a tired traveler, or a traveler in
between flights. These are my primary customer expectancies because some find that
it is very hard to sleep properly on the plane and still be expected to arrive and start
your travels, so this is essentially meant for them to get their rest ahead of time so
they can enjoy every minute of their experience.
● The type of image I want to convey is a relaxing, almost spa esqe ambiance. This is
meant to draw customers in to experience a time to wind down and relax. My fixtures
and colors will consist of more soothing, and dim colors like navy blue and white. I
will keep a very simple and clean ambiance, with light music playing in the front. The
furniture will be minimalistic and comfortable for customers of all age to enjoy.
Overall, here at Naptime, our goal is provide our guests/customers a time that will
11
never forget upon embarking their travels.
Advertising/Slogan
● My advertising plan will primarily take place on social media. This is through various platforms
like Instagram, Snapchat,LinkedIn , Reddit, etc. This is mainly because many of our generation is
more technological oriented, so this will be guaranteed to get the word out about my business.
In addition, I will also advertise around the airport. This will be through visual aids in kiosks, and
partnering with restaurants and other businesses to promote discounts and promotional deals.
These are going to be my two main sources of advertisement, since this is not a fransicse so we
don’t have any other businesses of this chain outside of the airport.
● The slogan for my business is “for a quick nap in a snap.” I believe this will stick with customers
because it catchy and relates to what our business offers.
● Our logo/trademark for advertising is our name, “NapTime”
