Experience the life of a Wildlife Veterinarian in Africa.
On our 14 day Wildlife Veterinary Program you will be led
by experts in the field and we will give you a diverse
understanding of challenges faced by Veterinarians in
South Africa.
You will be working hands-on with a variety of Africa's
Game species alongside our wildlife veterinarian.
WHAT OUR 14 DAY VETERINARY PROGRAM CONSISTS OF
WILDLIFE VETERINARY WORK

Practical exposure to wildlife veterinary work (immobilising of


animals/doing egg counts on dung samples to determine parasite
density)
PRACTICAL DARTING EXERCISES
Included in the Student Programme are practical darting exercises.

DARTING FROM HELICOPTER


You will be taught the skill to dart from a helicopter.

AUTOPSY WORK
If required, you will learn basic autopsy work.
LECTURE: INTENSIVE WILDLIFE BREEDING
You will receive a lecture on intensive wildlife breeding.

LECTURE: BASIC RESERVE MANAGEMENT


You will also receive a lecture on basic reserve management.

BASIC RIFLE HANDLING AND SAFETY


We offer basic practical training on rifle handling and safety.
TWO-DAY VISIT TO KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Experience a two-day visit to the world-renowned Kruger National
Park.

PANORAMIC ROUTE EXCURSION

Accommodation:
Eden Wildlife Adventures offers comfortable and unique
tented accommodation set among tall, shady acacia and majestic
jackal berry trees.

Our camp offers six tents:

The first four tents include four comfortable single beds and rustic
ablutions. What a way to freshen up in our ablution area, which has
three showers, three toilets and three basins.

The other two tents comprise of two comfy single beds with en-suite
bathrooms (toilet, shower and basin). Each tent has an extended
concrete veranda, which is a prime vantage point for game viewing
and ideal for students wanting the additional comfort overlooking
the surrounding bush, Selati River bed and bird viewing.

There are two pedestal fans in the four-sleeper tents and one
pedestal fan in each of the two-sleeper tents, creating a welcome
breeze in the summer. At night, lanterns illuminate the walkways to
create subtle light and ambience.
Dining:

Dine in true African safari style! Evening meals are often enjoyed
while seated around a roaring open fire in the rustic outdoor—if the
weather permits. Breakfast and lunch are served under a canopy of
thatch in an open-sided dining room area.

In our dining area, students will


enjoy diverse and tasteful cuisine
conjured by your chef. Open fires
are usually used for cooking, in a
truly African fashion. Traditional
venison dishes also feature on
our authentic African menu.

Beverage stations for early


morning tea or coffee are served
round the magical boma by the
dining and bar area, a walking
distance from each tent.

A cash bar is available for those who want to relax after a day's work
in the blazing African sun.

The airport to land in South Africa is OR TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT


JOHANNESBURG. Pick up time at the airport will be at 12pm and drop-off
will be at 12pm.

When choosing your flight times please choose your flight arrival time
before 12pm CAT and departure time after 12pm.

We provide all the transfers from and to the airport which is included in the
price.

THE TOTAL COST FOR THE 14 DAY VETERINARY PROGRAM IS 2300 US$.

*A booking fee of 1150 US$ is payable to confirm your booking.

*The balance of 1150 US$ is payable 30 days prior to arrival.

Our Rates Include:

All rates are charged in US$
All our guests are required to sign an Indemnity Form on arrival

Booking fees & Settlements:


To secure your booking, the booking fee is required within 48 hours of
confirming the reservation. All bookings must be settled in full 30 days prior to
arrival.

Please Note:
All booking fees made are non-refundable; however they are transferable to
another person or moveable to another date without any costs.

General:
All Terms & Conditions, whether general or special, shall be interpreted and
take effect according to the laws of South Africa. The Courts of South Africa
shall have sole jurisdiction in respect of any claims which may arise between
the client and Eden Wildlife Adventures.
Payments to Eden Wildlife Adventures shall be at rates specified in the
Packages & Rates Schedule, or as agreed in writing from time to time.
All reservations shall be settled on a pre-payment basis.
Eden Wildlife Adventures shall not be held responsible for any damage to or
loss of any property, whether belonging to the student or any of the guests,
nor shall Eden Wildlife Adventures be responsible for any personal injury which
may be sustained by any guests/students or by any directors, servants or
agents of the client, whether such damage or personal injury be caused by, or
arise from the negligence of Eden Wildlife Adventures or its employees or
otherwise. The Client hereby indemnifies Eden Wildlife Adventures and all its
directors, servants or agents of the client in respect of such personal injury,
loss or damage.
All guests/students will be required to settle their accounts for extras,
telephone calls, beverages, bar bill etc. on departure. This can be done by local
currency notes, Rands, Dollars or Euro. A card machine facility is available.
Insurance: We recommend that all guests/students have sufficient travel
insurance to cover injury, medical costs, emergency evacuation, repatriation,
loss or damage to personal belongings and cancellation.
