Identify author and describe potential biases. Liberty’s Blueprint was written by, Michael Meyerson. Aside from his publications, Meyerson is
a professor of law at the University of Baltimore. His specialty is constitutional law and
American legal history. Given Meyerson background, he could hold bias in benefit of the U.S
Constitution focusing on all favorable events leading up to the drafting.
Identify thesis and arguments. Though our founding fathers had great compromise and faced obstacles from state leaders,
they were able to form a governing document that would lead the people of the United States.

Madison and Hamilton deliberated over many topics. Madison believed that the government
should not promote religion. Had Madison and Hamilton shared the same values the drafting
could have been expedited.

Had different states been involved in the Constitutional Convention, wavering opinions could
have changed the outlook of the U.S Constitution. Through delegation and deliberation they
formed a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
What primary sources did the source rely on? Like most historians, this book was full of primary sources. A collection of letters and speeches
that occurred during the time of the drafting gave this source great information.
Is the source reliable and convincing? Why or why not? Yes, this source is reliable. Meyerson seems to focus purely on event that took place with out
swaying his bias one way.
How does the source relate to your project topic? How does it This source is perfect for my research project that will be covering the drafting the U.S
add to what you already know about the topic? Constitution. It lays out a timeline of events to better understand the document and the
making of it. Also, it elaborates on people involved and hardships they had to overcome during
this time frame. Having knowledge on small events that took place during the drafting of the
U.S Constitution, this source elaborated to further my understanding.
