Liberty’s Blueprint was written by, Michael Meyerson. Aside from his publications, Meyerson is
a professor of law at the University of Baltimore. His specialty is constitutional law and
American legal history. Given Meyerson background, he could hold bias in benefit of the U.S
Constitution focusing on all favorable events leading up to the drafting.
Though our founding fathers had great compromise and faced obstacles from state leaders,
they were able to form a governing document that would lead the people of the United States.
Madison and Hamilton deliberated over many topics. Madison believed that the government
should not promote religion. Had Madison and Hamilton shared the same values the drafting
could have been expedited.
Had different states been involved in the Constitutional Convention, wavering opinions could
have changed the outlook of the U.S Constitution. Through delegation and deliberation they
formed a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
Like most historians, this book was full of primary sources. A collection of letters and speeches

This source is perfect for my research project that will be covering the drafting the U.S
Constitution. It lays out a timeline of events to better understand the document and the
making of it. Also, it elaborates on people involved and hardships they had to overcome during
this time frame. Having knowledge on small events that took place during the drafting of the
U.S Constitution, this source elaborated to further my understanding.
