Research Supervisor The Research Supervisor is in-charge of monitoring the progress of the research project through regular formal supervisory meetings and ensuring that the research team keeps an agreed record of these meetings; being accessible at mutually convenient times when the research team may need advice; giving detailed advice on the necessary completion dates of successive stages of the work so that the research project can be submitted within the relevant maximum duration period; emphasizing the importance of timely submission of the research project; requesting draft or preliminary written and other work as appropriate and returning such work with constructive criticism and within a reasonable time; reading and commenting on the whole of the final draft of the research paper, provided that this is presented within a reasonable and agreed timeframe; and ensuring the final submission of the research report for dissemination and utilization. Principal Investigator The Principal Investigator has the primary responsibility for ensuring the (PI) ethical conduct of the research study. This includes protecting human subjects’ rights, safety and welfare, protocol compliance, and adherence to institutional, national regulations and guidance. The PI is responsible for ensuring informed consent is appropriately obtained from each participant and for appropriately maintaining study records. The PI is also responsible for complying with the financial and administrative policies and regulations associated with the award, overall fiscal management of the project, and conflict of interest disclosure. Co-Investigator (Co-I) The Co-Investigator may perform all or some of the PI functions, but they do not accept primary responsibility for the research study. The co- Investigator is under the supervision of the PI and is responsible for performing study–related procedures and /or to make important study- related decisions in compliance with the ethical conduct of the study. Data Coordinator The Data Coordinator is responsible for the overall data management of a research study. Data points for analysis must be extracted from multiple source documents and entered into specific databases. Data coordinators ensure accurate and timely data entry. They also work closely with the research team in the study development process to identify key data points for collection and analysis for investigator initiated trials. Project Coordinator The Project Coordinator oversees and coordinates the daily activities of research studies. They work closely with the team and investigators to ensure that all protocol required procedures and visits occur according to protocol specified guidelines. The PC generally manages participant enrollment and ensure compliance with the protocol and other applicable regulations. This includes but is not limited to; participant recruitment, obtaining informed consent, educating participants on the details of the research study, assessing participant eligibility, facilitating participant care and follow-up per protocol, creating source documentation, assisting in the assessment of toxicities/adverse events and reporting serious adverse events per IRB and sponsor requirements. Research Support Conducts studies according to national and local regulations and Staff / Associate guidelines, ethical policies, and departmental/division SOPs; assures the safety and welfare of study participants by being knowledgeable about ongoing study protocols and investigational articles; complies with national regulations governing disclosure of personal, professional or financial interests in a research study that may impact upon its conduct, evaluation or outcome; maintains confidentiality of all research-related information (including patient records); Assures that the PI and Clinical Research Coordinator are informed in a timely manner of all research-related activities; and maintains the regulatory and study files for each research project. Research / Technical Providing research, technical and analytical expertise around a specific Consultants discipline or knowledge area, including: analyzing technical/research issues, and synthesize multiple sources of potentially conflicting information to understand and assess problems; assisting in the development and application of methodologies and best practices related to specific research and technical areas; working closely with the rest of the team and will also contribute to the research / technical reports.
