Context
For the 16th week, we had our online return demonstration tepid sponge bath. It
is one in which the patient's body is not immersed but is wiped with a wet cloth or
sponge; this is most often done for reduction of body temperature in presence of fever,
in which case the water used is cool. Learning the basic terms concerning how to
properly execute all the procedures with the right range of tepid water is important and
must really be done accordingly to its procedures to avoid any untoward reactions.

Experience
The return demonstration made me nervous and excited at the same time. I was
nervous because I had a hard time finding my patient since a lot of my friends are busy
with their classes. I learned a lot while practicing the procedures which will surely be
inculcated on my mind. On the day of the return demonstration I’m glad that Mrs.
Urgena corrected me with some of my technicalities and added more information
regarding the procedures.

Reflection
From what I have experienced and learned in the return demonstration, I realized
how important it is to be prepared an to practice more so that you will be able to act on
it naturally as if it is a real patient you are handling. This will also relieve the anxiety of
the patient while you are doing the procedure. This also made me realize a lot of things
like the ones added by our Clinical instructor.

Action
From my experience, I will always strive to be more cautious and careful in
comprehending the procedures though everything is not shown in the video that was
posted, we still need to do more research and understanding about the matter. I will
communicate well to the client in any procedure that I will be doing. I will do my best to
practice more for me to learn more and be ready for our clinical duties soon.
Evaluation
The return demonstration of this topic is a great idea to practice us how to
properly perform a tepid sponge bath to someone with elevated temperature or fever.
This can be performed at home especially when someone is sick. I understand and learn
a lot of things clearly. I just need constant practice and guidance from my Clinical
instructors to give the patient the quality care they deserved. Mastering everything is
critical in this field, you cannot afford to do any mistakes because it might cause the
patient to have complications. I will always work on myself to become better to serve
others.
