measurements should be calculated together to get a correct growth state of fetus as a whole. It will be

helpful to reduce error to make EDCB more correct.

The parameters of crown-rump, head circumference, abdomen circumference and femur length are usually

used in mid and late pregnancy. Sum up all the parameters and then divide the result by the number of

measurement, then you will get the fetus week. Refer to《Family Planning Ultrasound Diagnostics, Second

edition》

GS (Predict fetus week and EDCB according to the size of womb, applicable within 7 weeks)

CRL (Predict fetus week and EDCB according to the crown-rump, applicable within 8-12 weeks. Error

Explanation of the report

The bladder and prostate’s measurement method is Height (H)/Breadth (B).

The corresponding volume is calculated according to the formula:

- 66 -
Shenzhen emperor electronic technology Co.,Ltd.

V=1/6×п×H×B2

Volume calculation according to measurements made in one plane:

With this method the bladder is scanned in, the transverse plane only. The estimated bladder volume is:

Vb1=V×γ

Where Vb1 is the measured volume in the transverse plane, γ is the coefficient.

a) According to this method one first measures the H/B in the transverse plane and then the length in the

sagittal plane. The formula to calculate to volume now is:

Vb2=αV +β

The values for αand βcan be set.

b) Volume calculation according to the average for the measured transverse and sagittal volume:

Vbmean2= (Vb1 + Vb2)/2

c) Volume calculation according to measurements made in three or four planes:

Vbmean3= (Vb1 + Vb2 + Vob1)/3

Vbmean4= (Vb1 + Vb2 + Vob1 + Vob2)/4

Where Vob1 is the measured volume in the Oblique 1 plane. Where Vob2 is the measured volume in the

Oblique 2 plane.

Set Bladder Coefficients

When the volume of the bladder is calculated according to measurements made in two planes, a correction

factor is introduced into the formula for calculation of the bladder or bladder geometry yielding.

Select Set Bladder Coefficients, in the right top corner of screen will display as following:

The correction factors for α、β、γcan now be entered. Pressing the key ENTER to finish

the set.

α 1.00
β 0.00
γ 1.23

Note: Please preset the coefficient before you start your measurement if you need. The

user-set coefficient will be lost and it returns to the default. The users are usually

recommended to make measurement with the default coefficient.
