What are your strengths? How do you display these strengths in class?

In the graph above, I show the most strength in captivate, clarify, and challenge.
When I am in the class with the students, I want my students to do their best work and
try at everything they do. I explain clear directions to the students so they understand
what they need to do, I will also model assignments to show what they need to do
because I know modeling is important for students to see the teacher do something and
then they understand it better. When I teach the students, I allow wait time when I ask
questions because the students tend to participate more when they notice I am not
rushing them and giving them time to think to answer the questions.

What area(s) are weaker for you? What can you do to grow in these areas?
The weakest areas for me are consolidate and confer. When I am in the classroom
teaching, I notice that I can review the material more than what I do. I can also make more real-
life connections to the students and their lives so the material will be easier for them to
understand. The students in the classroom usually have a discussion with myself and my MT,
but it is hard to have a full class discussion because of the students who are still remote. I do
make it work the best I can so all of the students can hear one another to have a discussion
about a topic. What I can do to grow in these areas is to review more in depth of the material,
make more real-life connections to the students’ lives, and make discussions better for all of the
students.
Professional Goals:
Going into student teaching there is a lot of improvement that I can do to make my
student teaching experience better. One specific area I can improve on is control. During my
experience with the students, I noticed that some students like to get out of their seats or
unmute their mics on the computer. As a future educator, I need to be able to take control of
small situations like that to be able to manage my classroom and not have any kinds of
distractions. I will put rules in place to ensure what the classroom environment should look like.
