How technology affected me in my personal life

The young people of today have grown used to technology and have greatly incorporated

it into their daily lives. Through the years of advancing technology, physicians and psychologists

have carried out experiments seeking to address the major questions of why does the overuse of

technology impact our youth negatively? It has a negative impact on human wellbeing,

considering the fact that technology has eased the efficiency of various activities. It has an effect

m
er as
on persons of all ages and leads to health effects such as depression, obesity, brain tumors, and

co
eH w
multiple chronic diseases. I'm one of the people we spoke about in the above, one of the people

o.
rs e
who are affected by the result of the overuse of technology. Technology has made me rely on it,
ou urc
it made me have less confidence to speak in front of people but chat with my computer and

phone, and last, in order but not of importance, I became addicted to it and it wasted my time
o
aC s

from day to day.

vi y re

The technology consists, however, of the set of strategies, expertise, methods, and
ed d

processes used to produce products or services or to achieve goals but it controlled me and made
ar stu

me rely on it. As everybody else on the planet, I concentrated solely on the positive things I saw

without understanding the repercussions which were detrimental to me. As a student in my

is

second year, I shouldn’t rely on it but, I don't recall that I have answered historical questions,
Th

which our instructor gave us without looking on the internet. I did not even listen to the lesson,
sh

but instead, I looked for it and copied the responses from it. I was too lazy to do some work in

that lesson, slow and somehow frail. I started listening to the lecture the teacher gave because I

still thought I should get the answers from the Internet. I finally didn't know much about history

because I let the web do my job. In the film Celling Your Soul one student said “that phone tells

you what to do with your life”, which tells that she was all dependent on her phone. So was I

because I didn't use my brains in that lesson anymore.

Being a good public speaker can help you advance your career, grow your business, and

build strong collaborations, I had a hard time experiencing that. Technology made me less

confident to talk to people face to face but to talk with my phone. I was in Ethiopia two years

before I came to the United States. I don't do anything, so So I was 24 hours a day on my

m
er as
telephone. I always used Facebook and chatted with many people, but I didn't meet them. I

co
eH w
decided to go to the Refugee Service for English for a long time because English was not my

o.
rs e
first language. I didn't have the nerve to talk to the students personally even though I know the
ou urc
students on Facebook. But I had no problems chatting with them via Facebook when I went

home after class. That's because I used to talk to them with my handset most of my time, but not
o

face to face. On the Celling Your Soul, instructor Siani claimed that “If we can communicate
vi y re

with somebody 24/7, and we have all this great technology, why don't I feel better?” Yet, we not
ed d

satisfied with it like she said. My phone I allowed my phone to take control of me, and it made
ar stu

me feel less confident in the public. This proves that I've had a rough time talking to people in

person since I used to speak with them with my phone.

Despite the fact that technology was meant to save time during assignments, I did not
Th

take advantage of that but it wasted my time. The first time I got my first cell, I began my day by
sh

reading the news and scrolling through my social media. Then spend the next two or three hours

on it, which I would say I was addicted to. I fry 14 hours a week, fifty-six hours a month, and

every morning 672 hours a year. Those hours didn't help me graduate or pay my bills, but they

did make me miss. Time is gold, but use it wisely and don't let machines rule you.

There were a lot of things I could do in the hours I listed that would guide me through my future.

Once I've been hooked to these activities, it's hard to break out of the condition because it's going

to end up wasting further time. The technology relies on the actions of each person. Many that

use it for a positive reason will potentially save more time. Others, on the other hand, including

me, are making inefficient use of it and wasting their time.

In conclusion, today's young people have become accustomed to technology and have

m
er as
adopted it extensively in their daily lives. In today's youth, technology plays a significant

co
eH w
role. It is used through education, work, and home in daily life. If we could find a way to

o.
rs e
stay at home and work and not participate with society, maybe they will be better off, but
ou urc
that is almost unlikely. I'm one of the individuals we mentioned above, one of the individuals

who are impacted by technology overuse. I have become one of the people who have been the
o
aC s

target of technology which was not I hoping to be. It has made me less confident before people
vi y re

and freezes my brain because I reliant on technology, I have used technology to do things that
ed d

lead me to spend dozens of times on my device and became addicted to it. “ I get panicky when I
ar stu

can’t find my phone,” said the women on Celling Your Soul. This highlights that our devices

control us and we get hooked to them; we take the disadvantage but not the advantage of it. It
is

was important for me to balance technology in the educational process and to keep up
Th

with modern trends. But after buying my first cell, I struggled. Considering the fact that
sh

technology has enhanced the efficacy of multiple practices, it has a negative impact on

human health. It has an impact on people of all ages and therefore contributes to health

implications.
