Lesson: Configuring Rule Determination Based on the Condition Technique in Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP)

Condition Table

Figure 82: Condition Table

Condition tables contain condition records that you can use to find a specific rule. A rule can
be made dependent on characteristics or criteria defined in the condition table.

Definition of a Condition Table

To define a condition table, in Supply Chain Management (SCM), on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose Advanced Planning and Optimization→ Global Available-to-Promise (Global
ATP)→ Rules-Based Availability Check → Define Condition Table .
You can set up several condition tables in your system. However, during a rules-based
available-to-promise (ATP) check, only specific condition tables are searched. Access
sequences are used to control which tables are searched.
On the basis of transactions (in other words, using the information from each document), the
system checks whether rules are defined that are dependent on a specific key field value.
You define the sequence of the key fields using the sequence in which they are copied from
the field catalog. If you want to change this sequence, you have to delete the corresponding
condition table and then create a new one. After it has been generated, the condition table
cannot be changed. However, you can delete the condition table at any time.
To change the format of the fast entry screen, choose Technical view from the Create
Condition Tables screen. When formatting the fast entry screen, you have the following
options:
