MOTIVATION FOR APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIP

First I would like to express my appreciation for this opportunity to apply for EMJMD
(Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree) Scholarship. I have a Bachelor degree in Computer
science from University of Agriculture Peshawar which is in fact one of the leading engineering
university in Pakistan. In addition, during my studies at (AUP) I have scored 3.56/4.00 CGPA
in overall seven semesters. However, it is not final CGPA of all eight semesters. I hope to
keep the current CGPA till the completion of the whole course. My final project proposal title
is “Tailoring Management Information System (TMIS)” for tailoring information storage and
customer facilitation. Furthermore, the project includes finger print reader as well as
messaging system for the facilitation of the customers.

During my studies I have worked as internee at Hashir Solutions Software House for three
months as android mobile application developer where I have learned lots of technical things.

With the background knowledge that I have in Computer Science, I strongly feel and believe
that a master degree in my current field will be very relevant to my practice back here in my
country Afghanistan. I plan to work with research based groups in IT sector as well as in local
universities with an aim to improve and create well-rounded computer scientists who will
fulfill the demand for computer science researchers and software developers.

Owing to limited resources, I am not able to proceed with further studies here in
Afghanistan or elsewhere as I lack the necessary funds. I would be grateful to be provided
with sponsorship to further my education and build a career and EMJMD scholarship will
be immensely helpful. My future potential employer especially in the public sector such as
local universities and research organizations will be a good channel where I can transfer the
knowledge gained in an optimized manner to my country and future generations.
Moreover, I will get a chance through EMJMD scholarship to interact with students from
diverse professional and cultural backgrounds drawn from all over the world. The exposure
is important for interaction and integration of diverse ideas and perspectives pertaining to
various global issues; for the world is a mosaic of different cultures and a single perspective
cannot apply in all these cultures.

Finally I am determined to make the most out of the scholarship benefits. I will optimize my
stay at different countries and different universities to garner a wealth of ideas that will
apply when I return to my country and at the same time contribute to a better EMJMD and
People of European Commission along with my own country Afghanistan. While searching
for a suitable Master program that would bolster my dream, support my desire and provide
me the necessary diversities, EMJMD scholarship seem to be the very best I can apply for.

Once again I am grateful for considering my application and I look forward to receiving a
favorable reply and I am hoping that you will make time to read and consider my request
and help me to fulfill my dream.
