Lab 2 Results and discussion:

Based on our groups of observation as seen from the tables and charts above, the
actual velocities in the trials are much smaller than the theoretical velocities. Likewise,
when it comes to flow rate, actual flow rates results are still smaller than the theoretical
flow rates. However, device coefficient values in the first trial are too far when compared
to the second and third device coefficients.
Errors in this experiment varies depending on how the performer sees the value in the
ruler. Since the lines were thin and small, not all groups will come up with same or exact
values. Another thing is since the water is not stable, it is hard to measure its height in
different trials. We can also encounter errors when we are not using the ruler in straight
position. It is really important to be careful in using equipments/materials in this
experiment since we are using small measurement (mm). Also, we should always
remember to look for the meniscus to find the real height of the water.

Lab 1 Results and discussion:

According to the table and chart presented, we calculated that there is higher total head
when there is a smaller flow area. As seen in the three trials, all that has smaller flow
areas has an equivalent of higher total head than the bigger flow areas.
One of the possible errors we can encounter in this experiment is how we see the value
we will take from the video since the lines for the measurement are thin, it is hard for us
to see the exact height of wate. We could lessen this error by finding the meniscus of
the water.
