1. Listening and speaking. What is an ideal boss?
1) What are the qualities of an ideal boss?
I think the best quailies which an ideal boss must have are abilities to
support and motivate for better productivity his subordinates.
Without these qualities team will have desctructive mood and
even if they echieve their golas, it will take much longer
2) What do you value most in a boss?
Ability to devide personal mood and job. I know some stories
when bosses of my friends were shouting and critisizing them,
but there weren’t any possible reasons for it
3) Have you ever been critisized by your boss for your performance?
I have been critisized by my boss for absense of my perfromance. I
was at the beginning of my work and I didn’t even know what I
have to do
4) What does your work experience say about how to better accept
criticism from your boss?
If my boss critisize me for absolutely truth, I will do my best to make
sure that this critisizm never happen again. But if I see that my
boss in bad mood just because of his personal problems and he
take his mood out on me, I will try not to take it personally. But
I can add that not taking it personally is not very simple
5) Would you like to have your boss’s job? Why? Why not?
I would like because he has much bigger salary than mine. But I
wouldn’t like because he has much more responsbilities.
6) Tell us about the best/worst boss you’ve ever had.
Unfortunately or likely, I haven’t had any bosses except my current.
But I can compare him with my research supervisor in the
university. My research supervisor was 60years old woman,
which understands computer since only at the level of her lab
works. So I cant get advises from her about how to do my
research, which literature or sites I should read. The only thing
that she was doing is she was giving me tasks about how my
application should look like and she cant say any word about
realization of her ideas. So it was awful. But on the opposite side
my current boss, which can helps me with any of my problems,
he can advise me several ways to solve the task, so I can’t say
any bad word about my current boss.
