Neoclassical arts is very important because, it brought about a general revival in classical thought that mirrored
what was going on in political and social arenas of the time, leading to the French Revolution. The primary
Neoclassicist belief was that art should express the ideal virtues in life and could improve the viewer by
imparting a moralizing message

Performance task:

Choose a notable person from Greek or Roman history. Create a 3D representation of the person you have using
the style of a typical Neoclassical sculpture.

● The student used different kinds of lines and shapes, and maximized space.
● The student used appropriate color combination and texture.
● Composition of elements created balance, emphasis, and proportion.
● Arrangement of elements created rhythm and movement.
● Combination of elements created harmony, unity, and variety.

● 3D model features a Greek or Roman historical character.
