1. The “CIMB Invest & Win Gold” Campaign (“Campaign”) is organised by CIMB Bank Berhad
(197201001799 (13491-P)) (“CIMB”).
Campaign Period
2. The Campaign shall run from 15 December 2020 to 15 April 2021, both dates inclusive
(“Campaign Period”).
3. CIMB reserves the right upon giving prior notice of seven (7) calendar days to change the duration
and/or the commencement and/or expiry dates of the Campaign Period.
Eligibility
4. This Campaign is open to all CIMB customers, except for the categories of persons/entities listed
in Clause 5 hereof.
5. The following categories of persons/entities shall NOT be eligible to participate in this Campaign:-
(a) Permanent, contract and/or temporary staff or employees of CIMB Group of Companies*;
and
(b) Individuals below the age of eighteen (18) years.
* CIMB Group of Companies means the groups of companies/legal entities in which CIMB Group
Holdings Berhad, being the ultimate holding company of CIMB has a controlling interest, directly
or indirectly, either by itself or through its subsidiaries.
By participating in this Campaign, the participant represents and confirms that he/she does not
fall within the categories of persons/entities excluded above.
6. The participating products as set out in Table A below shall hereinafter be collectively referred to
as “eGIA”:

e-Gold Investment Account (eGIA), Gold Investment Account (GIA) and Gold
Investment Account via CIMB Clicks (GIA via CIMB Clicks)
i. The eGIA is not a principal protected product nor an interest-bearing account. The returns
on the eGIA depends on gold price fluctuations and therefore the returns on the Eligible
Participants’ (hereinafter defined at Clause 11) investment in gold are uncertain and the
Eligible Participants risk earning no returns and/or the possibility of incurring losses. The
Eligible Participants are advised to read and understand the contents of the CIMB’s e-Gold
Investment Account Agreement and open the eGIA based on their own judgement and/or
independent advice obtained. This product is not protected by Perbadanan Insurans
Deposit Malaysia (“PIDM”).
ii. Any money withdrawn from an insured deposit for the purpose of purchasing gold under
eGIA is no longer protected by PIDM.

iii. The Eligible Participants are required to sign all relevant standard documents and comply
with all terms and conditions in respect of their investment in the relevant products under
the Campaign, which are separate from the terms and conditions herein.
Prizes
8. The following prizes are available to the selected winners of this Campaign (“Prizes”):-
Qualifying Criteria
9. Participants must have a valid mobile number registered and maintained in CIMB’s record and
must perform one of the following transactions (“Eligible Transaction”):-
i. Participants who open a new eGIA and make a minimum investment in 1g of gold via CIMB
Clicks; or
ii. Participants who make a minimum investment in 1g of gold in their eGIA via CIMB Clicks
to participate in this Campaign and in order to be qualified to participate in the game.
10. Notwithstanding Clause 9 above, CIMB may also invite existing CIMB customers who have not
made any investment(s) during the Campaign Period to play the game at CIMB’s microsite
accessible by a game link. However, if such customer wins any of the Prizes set out at Clause 8
above, he/she will still have to make a minimum investment in 1g of gold before the Prizes will
be credited into his/her eGIA.
11. CIMB customers who are qualified to participate in this Campaign (in accordance with Clauses 9
and 10 above) shall hereinafter be referred to as “Eligible Participants”.
12. Each link sent to the Eligible Participants via SMS to his/her mobile number maintained in CIMB’s
records, eDM or Clicks Messenger is only valid for one (1) time play in the CIMB game microsite.

13. The microsite shall be managed by CIMB’s appointed panel vendor and Eligible Participants are
advised to use their mobile phone, desktop or laptop to play the game. Eligible Participants must
use web browsers having the following minimum specifications to participate in the game:-

14. The Eligible Participants may stand to win the Prizes referred to in Clause 8 above in the following
manner:-
15. Each Eligible Participant is only entitled to win one (1) Monthly Grand Prize per Campaign
Month(s) and a maximum of four (4) Monthly Grand Prizes throughout the Campaign Period.

16. The Eligible Participants acknowledge and agree that the determination by CIMB as to whether
any particular transaction qualifies as an Eligible Transaction shall be final, binding and
conclusive and such determination shall not be challenged in any manner whatsoever.
Winner Selection
Bonus Prizes
17. Eligible Participants stand to win the Bonus Prizes with every game play.
18. Each Eligible Participant who wins the Bonus Gold Prize will be referred to as a “Bonus Gold
Winner”. The Bonus Gold Winners will be notified by CIMB via SMS.
20. A total of three (3) potential monthly prize winners (“Potential Monthly Grand Prize Winner(s)”)
will be selected at random by an automated system at the end of each Campaign Month(s).
21. Each of the three (3) selected Potential Monthly Grand Prize Winners will be notified by CIMB
via SMS after the campaign ends. He/she will be required to answer one (1) question correctly
by replying to the said SMS which will contain a question. Upon correctly answering the question
posed to him/her within twenty-four (24) hours, the Potential Monthly Grand Prize Winner will be
declared as a “Monthly Grand Prize Winner”.If the Potential Monthly Grand Prize Winner does
not answer the question correctly, he/she will be disqualified and the process is repeated and
another Potential Monthly Grand Prize Winner will be selected from the pool of Eligible
Participants by CIMB’s automated system.
22. The question and answer will be judged and decided by a panel of judges selected by CIMB and
the decision of the panel of judges shall be final and binding.
23. The Eligible Participants are responsible for ensuring that their mobile numbers and email
address provided are current and updated with CIMB. CIMB shall not be responsible to the
Eligible Participants for any loss (including loss of opportunity and consequential loss flowing
there from) suffered, including the loss for any failure to fulfil the crediting of the Prizes, if their
mobile numbers and/or email address in CIMB’s record are not contactable, current or updated.
Prize Fulfilment
24. CIMB will credit the Bonus Gold Prize and/or Monthly Grand Prize into the Bonus Gold Prize
Winners and/or Monthly Grand Prize Winners ((hereinafter collectively known as “the Winners”)
eGIA within eight (8) weeks after the Campaign Period ends.
25. The Prizes cannot be transferred to any third party, exchanged for a different prize or reward of
similar value or any other alternatives in any circumstances. CIMB will not entertain any request
from the Winners to credit the Prizes to the Winner’s other CIMB accounts or any third party’s
CIMB accounts.

26. All cost, fees and/or expenses incurred or to be incurred by the Bonus Gold Prize Winners and/or
the Monthly Grand Prize Winners under this Campaign in relation to the Campaign and/or to
claim the Prizes including any fees, levies or taxes (as may be applicable) shall be solely borne
by the Winners.
27. Any Winners whose accounts with CIMB have been terminated, suspended, cancelled, closed
or dormant before any Prize has been awarded to him/her under this Campaign will not be entitled
to receive any Prize under this Campaign.
28. The Eligible Participants agree that by participating in the Campaign, they:
a. have accessed, read and confirm their agreement to these Terms and Conditions;
b. consent to CIMB processing and disclosing their personal data in accordance with the
CIMB Group Privacy Notice at www.cimb.com.my;
c. agree that all decisions fairly and reasonably made by CIMB in relation to every aspect of
this Campaign, including the prizes to be given away and determination of the campaign
winners, shall be final, binding and conclusive; and
d. agree that CIMB shall not be liable or held responsible to them if CIMB is unable to perform
in whole or in part of any of its obligations in these Terms and Conditions attributable
directly or indirectly to:
CIMB’s decision on any and all matters relating to the Campaign shall be final and binding on
all Eligible Participants and no correspondence and/or appeal against such decisions will be
entertained.
29. The Eligible Participants will be disqualified from participating in the Campaign and/or the prizes
will be forfeited if, during the Campaign Period and/or before the crediting/delivery of the prizes:
a. The Eligible Participants are in breach of the terms and conditions governing the eGIA;
b. The Eligible Participants’ eGIA has been terminated or closed or be made subject to any
attachment, adverse orders made by the Court or any authorities sanctioned by laws; or
c. The eGIA is delinquent, invalid or cancelled by the Eligible Participants or CIMB.
30. CIMB shall have the right to disqualify any Eligible Participant that it determines to be:
a. tampering with the entry; and/or
b. acting in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
by giving seven (7) calendar days’ prior notice to the Eligible Participants via:
i. announcement at CIMB’s website; and/or
ii. notice at CIMB’s branches; and/or
iii. by any other means of notification which CIMB may select.

32. For avoidance of doubt, CIMB shall not be liable to the Eligible Participants for any losses,
damages, costs or expenses as may be suffered or incurred by the Eligible Participants as a
direct or indirect result of any prizes and/or any cancellation, suspension, shortening or extension
of the Campaign.
33. CIMB shall not be liable to any Eligible Participants or any party for any loss or damage (including
but not limited to, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential,
exemplary, punitive or special damages) resulting from:
a. The Eligible Participants’ participation or non-participation in the Campaign; and/or
b. Any non-receipt or delayed receipt by the Eligible Participants of the SMS, eDM or Clicks
Messenger,
unless such loss or damage arises from and is caused directly by CIMB’s gross negligence or
wilful default.
34. a) CIMB shall have right to vary, add, delete, or amend any of these Terms and Conditions
(“Amendment”) by giving twenty-one (21) calendar days’ prior notice to the Eligible Participants
via:
i. announcement at CIMB’s website; and/or
ii. notice at CIMB’s branches; and/or
iii. advertisement in one newspaper of CIMB’s choice; and/or
iv. by any other means of notification which CIMB may select.
b) The Amendment shall be considered as binding on the Eligible Participants from the date as
specified by CIMB in the notification.
c) Eligible Participants agree to access CIMB’s website at regular intervals to view the terms
and conditions of the Campaign and to ensure that they are kept up-to date with any variation
to these Terms and Conditions.
35. CIMB will not be liable to the Eligible Participants for any loss or damage suffered or incurred by
the Eligible Participants as a direct or an indirect result of the Amendment.
36. The Eligible Participants shall fully indemnify and keep CIMB indemnified against any fee, cost,
charge, expense, loss, damage or liability which CIMB may incur as a result of:
a. the Eligible Participants’ participation in the Campaign; and/or
b. the Eligible Participants’ receipt, redemption or use of the prize.
38. These Terms and Conditions shall be subject to any prevailing laws, regulations and guidelines,
directives, notices issued by Bank Negara Malaysia or any other body having supervisory
authority over CIMB from time to time.
39. a) Eligible Participants may contact CIMB’s Customer Resolution Unit (“CRU”) for any feedback

b) CIMB may change the above contact details by notifying the Eligible Participants by way of
