Autonational Composites delivers a range of modular creels, from a cost effective (high volume glass fiber) bookshelf to
sophisticated electronic tensioned configurations. All creels can be customized to your specific application.

Our Creels & Tensioning Configurations

Bookshelf Creel
This statical mechanical controlled tensioning system (bookshelf) is suitable for low-tension
applications in combination with glass fiber. The bobbins are placed onto shelves and use the
pull-out principle.
● Up to 128 fibers
● Mechanical controlled tensioning
● Fiber tension 2N < X < 20N
● High production speed

Pallet Creel
This pallet creel is based on 12 -16 tows. The statical mechanical controlled tensioning system
is suitable for low-tension applications in combination with glass fiber. The bobbins are left on
the pallet and use the pull-out principle. Multiple pallet creels can be combined to process
more fibers. ’Push through’ of new pallets with fibers behind the creel reduces down time.

Servo Creel
This mechanically centered shaft creel including electronic controlled tensioning system is
suitable for high-end applications, like aerospace and automotive industry. This system is
suitable for winding with carbon or glass fibres and high & accurate tensioning. The bobbins
are placed horizontally and the roving is unwound from the outside, resulting in untwisted
fibers.
● Up to 32 fibers when using a pitch of 7.5 mm fiber combs, ≤ 2400 TEX (glass fiber) and
≤ 24k (carbon fiber)
● Standard configurations allow a fiber tension 5N < X < 45N
● Optional fiber tensions up to 100N (depending on bobbin diameter & weight)
● High accuracy
● Modular design, based on 8-fold or 4-fold units
● Fibre exit on left/right side or perpendiculair to creel cabinet
● Detection of fiber breakage, empty bobbins and ’almost empty’ status
● Multiple bobbin fixation & quick release configurations

 Our Modular Winders
Our standard winders can be performed in many
configurations. This is an impression of a
standard AMD SW 3000 winder including a creel
with electronic servo tensioning, prepared to
produce large tanks.

Our Modular Production Lines

This turn key project example includes 3
standard 3-spindle winding machines integrated
in a semi-automatic composite production line.
Additional machinery covers functionality like
mandrel & tooling preparation & storage, resin
preparation, curing, extraction, slitting &
grinding and cleaning & storage of tools.

Our Automated Production Lines

This turn-key project covers 3 fully automated
composite production lines. Each line include a
dedicated 2-spindle winding machine based on
a robust CNC-platform. These lines integrate
many functionalities like automated raw
material handling & resin dosing, double
winding process, curing, extraction, slitting,
testing, mandrel preparation/cleaning &
storage. Our equipment is designed for 24/7
reliable & maintenance-free operation,
resulting in the lowest possible Total Cost of
Ownership (TCO).
