(This is the #1 question I ask every student when a launch hasn’t gone well.)
BONUS #6:
Don’t join a course that teaches, but doesn’t give you
space to create during the same window.
This is a common model in the industry, and one that makes us feel
we’re being productive in learning, but doesn’t actually move our
business forward if we then run out of time to implement.
Unless it’s the perfect topic exactly when that’s what you were going to be
pouring into, it creates a sense of scarcity that you need to learn everything
you can on the topic before you lose access, when that might not be the
main topic that would help increase your revenue this month or quarter.
BONUS #8:
Focus more on strategy than specifics.
Instead look for those who teach the broader strategy that will allow you to
make it work for your strengths, your audience, your lifestyle. Then you really
become empowered to release certain angles or tactics that don’t work for you,
because you aren’t clinging too tightly to one promised “roadmap for success.”
