Cubs Charities to hold fundraiser for Chicago Public Schools

CHICAGO – Cubs Charities will be hosting a fundraiser at Wrigley Field on June 9, 2020 at 5

p.m. to benefit Chicago Public Schools.

In support of Cubs Charities and their effort to raise money for local schools, the Chicago

Cubs and Chance the Rapper will be in attendance. There will be autographs, meet and greets,

and a performance by Chance the Rapper.

“Giving back to the city that gave me so much is something I am very passionate about,

and although I am a South Sider, I am excited to get to partner with Cubs Charities to help give

these kids an education,” said Chicago native and musician Chance the Rapper.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. Chicago Public Schools will be in

attendance to help fundraise and assist with the event. The first 500 people in line at Wrigley

Field will get to meet the players of the Chicago Cubs. All other attendees are welcome to roam

the park, bid on the silent auction, play field games, and listen to live music!

“I’m excited to be able to meet some fans and get to work with CPS students and help

raise money for their schools,” said Chicago Cubs third baseman, Kris Bryant.

Cubs Charities has a goal of raising at least $250,000 for Chicago Public Schools. In past

years, Cubs Charities raised $150,000 for Chicago Public Schools. This year, with the help of the

players and Chance the Rapper, the organization hopes to double that amount.
Wrigley Field is located at 1060 W. Addison St. in Chicago. There will be street parking

all down Addison St. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to a later date.
