Foundation Weekend
On April 20th, the Alpha Rho chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sigma
will be celebrating their 80 years of service at Lock Haven University.
The sisters put together two events on April 17th and 18th to welcome
alum back and to raise money for the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation.
The Foundation was created in 1992 when The Robbie Page Memorial
Fund joined with the sororitys Educational Foundation.
In 1951, Robbie Page (pictured above) the Tri Sigmas national presidents son, passed away from polio at age five. Back then, no form of
vaccination or cure had been discovered. Due to the tragedy, his parents developed a memorial fund in his honor and in 1954, Tri Sigma
took on the Robbie Page Memorial Fund as its national philanthropy.
Today, the Robbie Page Memorial Fund, supports play therapy in hospitals around the country for terminally ill children. For many years,
the Alpha Rho Chapter of Tri Sigma has held events and raised money
to go towards their philanthropy.
Just recently, the chapter reached their goal of obtaining 500 childrens books for a book drive that will help raise money for schools in
Jamaica.

Notable Alumni
This week we have chosen to
shine the spotlight on one of
the most notable sisters
known across the country,
Carrie Underwood.
The Alpha Rho chapter would like to wish the spring 2015
graduating sisters the best of luck in all of their future
endeavors. Wed like to thank each and every one of them
for all the hard work, dedication, passion, and of course,
love that they have put into this chapter.

Graduating Seniors
Whether it was Shannons humor, Taylors advice, Angelas dance moves, Jasies leadership skills, Abigails infectious laugh, Lindseys kind heart, or Morgans warm hugs,
they have all impacted the Alpha Rho chapter in a positive way.
Alpha Rho will miss them dearly and we hope that they
will stop by to visit us again in the future.
Sister Spotlight!
Fun Fact!
Lindsey Townsend is the first sister of Sigma Sigma Sigma to have the spotlight on her in the first edition of So Nice
You Say it Thrice. Lindsey is Tri Sigmas foundation chair and she has worked so hard these past couple of weeks preparing for Tri Sigmas Founders Day weekend on April 18 and 19. She has been running around town making gift baskets and collecting donations from different franchises to be used as prizes. She has planned two events as a way to raise
money for her sororitys foundation, Rock for Robbie and the chapters first ever Run for Robbie 5k.
I am so stressed but I am so excited at the same time to see how everything turns out. Sigma at Lock Haven wouldnt be
around if it werent for the dedication and passion from the sisters before us, says Townsend. Thats why I have
poured my heart and soul into these two projects. I want to give back and to show what Sigma really means.
Lindsey will be graduating this spring and hopes that a sister, present or future, will continue to put as much effort and dedication
as she did, when the time comes around again next year.
