Social Events
Tori Cantrell, our new Vice-President, has come up with numerous ideas for social events this school year. Towards the end of RUSH events and recruitment, we were invited to a bonfire at Mozingo Lake. She also wants to have movie nights, scrapbooking nights, a trip to the pumpkin patch, tailgating parties, family day, etc. There will be several opportunities for new members to get to know the other actives.

Fall Pledges

Public Relations
Our public relations chair has been working her butt off to create a new Sigma Website! All of the actives are very excited about the new, easier to use site. MacKenzie did an awesome job, and on top of it all, the site is adorable! She has also been working on weeding out old Sigma Facebook groups and creating a new one. The Sigma Twitter page has also been giving her a run for her money, but we all know that she will have it up and running in no time!

Bridal Show
The theme for this years bridal show is The Story of Us. It is scheduled for March 1st in the Union Ballroom. Our bridal show chairs have already sent out save-the-dates, and they are expecting several vendors this year! If you would like to be a vendor, feel free to contact the chairs. Their information is below! Also, be sure to look for more information in the spring newsletter!

Fundraising
As I mentioned above, the first fundraising opportunity of the year will be to sell and hand out homecoming shirts! If you are interested in purchasing a homecoming shirt, please contact our fundraising chair as soon as possible. Our fundraising chair also plans on having a fundraising event where students get the chance to take a picture with Santa Clause.

Service
At the Sigma Exec Retreat, our service chairs brought several great ideas for potential service events this school year! Some ideas include Backpack Buddies, Box Top collections, trips to the Kansas City Ronald McDonald House, and a second annual Sand Volleyball Tournament. th Fall service week is from September 30 th October 5 , and the chairs have events planned for every day of the week. If you would like to join us for our big event during service week, keep an eye out for a service week flyer closer to that time!

RUSH- Fall 2013

Sigma Society RUSH was the week of th th September 9 -12 . On Monday night the potential pledges were invited to attend Facts and Snacks. Tuesday night, our recruitment chairs planned a new activity called Water Games. We spent an hour playing different games with water balloons! The third night of RUSH was Keep Calm and Service On. All actives and potential pledges were invited to come make fall door decorations. For the final night of RUSH week, the recruitment chairs hosted Dinner with Sigmas. Overall, the turnout for potential pledges was outstanding, and all of the girls seemed to enjoy the events.

Sisters in Service!
