MULTIPLICATION OF 10, 100,1000

Multiplication by 10 :-
 When we multiply a decimal by 10, we shift the decimal point one place to
the right .
Eg :- 0.3 8 9 X 1 0 = 0 3.8 9
3.8 9 X 1 0 = 3 8 .9
3 8.9 X 10 = 389
Multiplication by 100:-
 When we multiply a decimal by 100, we shift the decimal point two places to
the right.
Eg:- 0.7 9 5 X 100 = 7 9.5

7. 9 5 X 100 = 795

79.50 X 100 = 7950

Multiplication by 1000 :-
 When we multiply a decimal by 1000, we shift the decimal point three places
to the right.
Eg :- 1. 9 8 7 X 1000 = 1 9 8 7

1 9. 8 7 0 X 1000 = 19870

1.9 0 0 X 1000 = 1900
