About the Product:

What A Dog Nose has recently created the dog nose art kit where customers can buy a
collection of supplies to safely and easily print their dog’s nose to create a keepsake art frame.
Our target audience is aimed at dog owners of any kind.

Objectives:
We want to increase awareness of What A Dog Nose about 30% by March 31, 2022. We also
hope to gain at least 100 positive customer reviews on the dog nose art kits by March 31, 2022.
Finally, we would like double our social media following on each platform, also by March 31,
2022.

Rationale for SM Platforms:

In order to reach these goals, What A Dog Nose plans to use TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and
Pinterest.

TikTok:
For TikTok, we would like to focus on spectators, joiners, critics, and creators. TikTok creates an
environment where potential and existing customers can easily interact with the company and
each other. At the same time, TikTok is used by many to just watch short videos as a form of
entertainment. In order to allow creators to showcase our product, we have the option to allow
anyone to “stitch” a video of theirs with a video of our own, in which, a video placed on the What
A Dog Nose profile can be placed side by side with the creator’s video. This is often used by
creators to react to videos or to compare and contrast or add to a video. At this point, we have
the option to publicly repost videos that positively portray the company and improve and
increase relations with our followers. Critics are also plentiful on TikTok and we have the option
to invite people to try our product and share their experience. Many joiners and spectators enjoy
just watching videos, so creating feel-good content that features dogs as well as the What A
Dog Nose kit will include them as well.

Content Ideas:
- One post idea for TikTok is creating a video that uses the “boop the floof” trend and
sound where after “booping” the dog’s nose, the video is edited so that the finished
product of the What a Dog Nose kit is shown at the end. The caption includes “Save the
boop #boopthefloof” and another hashtag that includes the breed of the dog. Engages:
spectators
- Another post idea for TikTok is a video that invites creators to stitch their own video to
show off their own dog and its nose art. The caption says “Stitch this #stitch this
#dogsoftiktok.” Engages: joiners, creators, critics

Instagram:
Instagram is another social media outlet that makes it easy for people to comment and interact
with the company and its products. In addition to Instagram ads that allow commenting,
giveaways can be conducted conveniently in order to include joiners and collectors. In creating
a bi-monthly giveaway, we can request those who want to enter to follow our page as well as tag
friends in the comments which encourages follower engagement as well as potentially
increasing our following. Another way we could involve customers is to feature What A Dog
Nose finished projects tagged by customers or sent in through direct message. It will be very
important to keep up with comments as best as we can and to genuinely respond whenever
possible in order to truly make our followers feel welcome.

Content Ideas:
- A post idea for Instagram includes an organized photo of the What A Dog Nose kit with a
dog sitting next to it in the grass. The caption would read: “GIVEAWAY! Gifting one dog
nose print art kit from @WhatA_DogKnows (includes one delux print kit plus some
surprise treats). To enter: Follow + Like this post and tag a few friends in the comment
section! Winners will be chosen on 4/12/21 #giveaway” Engages: joiners
- A second option for Instagram is a feature of the month which shows a customer’s dog
with their nose print project completed with the option of having the customer there with
their dog. The caption includes a statement from the customer, a statement that
introduces the dog, and then an explanation of how to be featured a little lower down in
the caption as well as the hashtag #thisdognose. Engages: joiners

Facebook:
Facebook should mostly focus on joiners and spectators. Our facebook profile can make posts
that feature fun photos and videos of dogs. A series of content themes could cycle on Fridays,
Wednesdays, and Sundays so followers aren’t spammed with content every day, but they can
be reminded of the What A Dog Nose brand. In addition, Facebook ads could include a diverse
family focus because there is a large population of middle aged people on Facebook, many with
families. To do this, ads could feature dogs with their family or show the What a Dog Nose kit as
a family activity.

Content Ideas:
- Facebook could include a funny video that shows the process of making the What A Dog
Knows kit. It’s pre-play image should be the customer painting their dog's nose so that it
draws attention and the viewer will want to find out more. Engages: spectators, joiners
- Facebook can have an ad featuring a series of family pictures that portray a variety of
family types and dog types. Engages: spectators, joiners

Pinterest:
Pinterest will focus on collectors of social media where they can save ideas shared by the What
A Dog Nose profile as well as enable them to visit sites created by the company that share
how-tos and decor ideas. Our Pinterest profile will include a structured profile with organized
boards, including, decoration ideas, how-to’s, customer results, dog health and other related
categories, and posts that connect to the What A Dog Nose Instagram. Because this kit can be
considered a craft, home decor, and activity, as well as connecting to dogs, Pinterest can
recommend our posts to people who have similar interests. Thus, it is important that hashtags
and keywords are used to connect with our desired audience.

Content Ideas:
- Pinterest will have a decoration board and can include an image that shows the dog
prints next to the baby footprints from the children of a family. Engages: collectors
- Pinterest could also have a post that shows a picture of a completed project. This will
link to a blog post explaining the process of completing the project as well as tips to
make it easier. Engages: collectors
