CHAPTER 4
This chapter presents the gathered data in tabular presentation, analysis , and interpretation of
findings based on the results of the statistical treatment applied. The data are organized in sequential order based
on the statement of the problem in chapter 1.In addition, this part will also show the analysis and interpretations
of data gathered from the survey. The title of this thesis and its main topic are further discussed in this chapter
where the researcher also considers this as the heart of the whole research study.

Analysis:
The table 1 shows the profiles of the respondents . Out of one hundred thirty eight (138) respondents the
researchers gathered an equal number of frequency and percentage which is 23 and 16.67% from the six (6)
different sections of HUMSS 12 in Immaculada Concepcion College. Most of them are male with a frequency
of 74 which is equivalent to 53.62 percentage and the female respondents have a frequency of 64 and a
percentage of 46.38%.This analysis implies that the majority of male under the study responded to the
In addition, most of them are single with a frequency of 110 and a percentage of 79.71% .On the other hand ,
least of them are in a relationship which have 28 frequency and a percentage of 20.29%. Moreover , the ages 18-
20 have the highest frequency which is 112 with the percentage of 81.16% while the second to the highest are
the ages 15-17 with a frequency of 22 and a percentage of 15.94% .However, the most least are ages 24-26
Interpretation.
Table 1 presents all the information and data gathered in the first part of the survey that is needed to answer the
sub problem number one which is to know the profile of the selected grade 12 HUMSS students .As
revealed in the table above, there was an observation that the majority of the HUMSS 12 students are 18 – 20
years old. The researcher also witnessed that most of the HUMSS 12 senior high school students are single.

Analysis;
In question number one , most of the selected grade 12 HUMSS students answered difficulty in falling asleep
with a frequency of 66 which is equivalent to 14.93 percentage which is higher than the other choices .In
contrast, pets which only have 4 frequency with a percentage of 0.90 is the bottommost of all choices.
The next question tends to know if the grade 12 HUMSS students use caffeine products and how many cups of
coffee in a day ,most of them answered 1-2 cups a in a day which have a frequency of 67 and a percentage of
48.55 .Following by, I don’t which have a 59 frequency and a 42.75percentage.Contrary,none of them answered
The next question tends to know hours of sleep they get in a 24 hours approximately, most of them answered 7
and 8 hours with a frequency of 35 which is equivalent to 25.36 . On the other hand , 6 hours got the second
most answered by the respondents with a frequency of 27 which is equivalent to 19.57; percentage.However,4
hours got a least answered with a 4.35 percentage which have a frequency of 6 .
Interpretation:
Table 2 shows that majority of the grade 12 HUMSS students have a difficulty in falling asleep. The fact that,
they are all in an adolescent stage and this change in the circadian rhythm seems to happen because a teen's
brain it makes the hormone melatonin later at night than the brains of kids and adults do. Melatonin and another
hormone, serotonin, help regulate a person's sleep–wake cycles. So, adolescent have a harder time falling
asleep. The researcher also witnessed that majority of the respondents used caffeine products 1 to 2 cups in a
day . Stimulants, such as caffeine, aren’t enough to override body’s profound need for sleep. In fact, these can
make sleep deprivation worse by making it harder to fall asleep at night. In addition ,those got second to the
highest answered in hours of sleep which is 6 hours shows that some of the HUMSS grade 12 students

Interpretation:
As reflected in the table above,it is indeed that the academic performance of the selected HUMSS 12 students is
highly influence by having a positive attitude towards learning. The fact that, being a successful learner starts
with having a positive attitude towards learning. Therefore, it is good sign that majority of the HUMSS 12
Furthermore, as shown in the statement one and two in table 3, majority of the students are sometimes working
out when they falling short and advance reading their mmmodues.

Interpretation:
The last table will answer the sub problem number three which is all about the impact of sleep
insufficency to the academic performance of student .In this table ,most of the respondents have shown
negative effect of sleep insufficency in to their academic performance. This is seen in the computed
weighted mean where respondents always have to fought to stay awake while doing their module or in
online class.
According to the table above, some of the students can’t understand the lesson because they feel drowsy
with this result , researcher of this study makes an impression that sleep has an big impact on their
academic performance. Without enough sleep, brain and body systems won’t function normally. Also, it
Moreover, the last statement in the table the researcher concluded that the most of the selected HUMSS
grade 12 students is need the rush to meet the deadline, stressed-out students may produce low quality
