Nashik’s Growth Story
• Nashik is now one of the hottest IT destinations as declared by NASSCOM in their National Convention
recently held at Nashik. Accenture, world’s fifth largest American Information Technology (IT) company, has
acquired 200-acres and is poised to start operations by end of 2014. Microsoft, the global software giant, is
also on the lookout to acquire an additional 200-acres for IT development in Nashik. Anand Mahindra IT Park,
WNS, Datamatics, ESDS software ltd., Winjit technologies, gloStream, Hostgator India, Cognifront are a few
names who are already present.
• Recently China has selected Sinnar for its 2000-acres Indo-China Industrial park and met the Governor of
Maharastra for necessary permission.
• Nashik forms the most important part of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) with an investment plan of
Rs. 2,500 crore in next five years that has been flagged off.
• Nashik-Igatpuri-Sinnar region spread over 200 sq.km. is poised to become a General Manufacturing Region.
• The development of Indiabulls SEZ in an area of 2500-acres at Sinnar has already commenced. Around 3750-
acres have been reserved by TATA Motors for their expansion. Plus, DSK group (Pune) is planning a 2500-
acres SEZ in Nashik.
• The city is already home to mega industries like Mahindra & Mahindra, ABB, BOSCH, CEAT, Siemens,
Crompton, Gabriel, Garware, JBL, etc.
• Major PSU industries like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), India Security Press & Currency Notre Press
are located in Nashik.
• Nashik is renowned as Napa Valley of The East & The Wine capital of India, with over 50 wineries nestled in
and around, the city. Also, it is abode to international brands like Sula & York Vineyards. Moreover, Louis
Vuitton and Moet & Chandon are coming up with ultra-luxury wine resort in Nashik, their first hospitality
venture in Asia
• Nashik’s investor-friendly House Tax Policy enables high income from Rental which is a promising
opportunity.
• A film City project by Government of Maharashtra is under consideration at Igatpuri, Nashik.

Infrastructure
Mumbai is now just 2 hrs. drive away, thanks to the Nashik-Mumbai 4-lane highway.
• Nashik’s state-of-the-art domestic airport was inaugurated on 3rd March, 2014 paving way to high air
connectivity. Mumbai air parking is being planned to shifted to Nashik, which means connectivity throughout
India will be available in the next 2 years.
• Work at Shirdi airport is being developed at a fast pace and the airport shall commence operations by March
2015. With the upcoming Navi Mumbai International airport at 2.5 hrs drive away. Nashik will be the only city

Kumbhmela. 2000cr funds has been sanctioned by CG,SG & Nashik municipal corporation as Kumbhmela 2015

• The city has two thermal power plants: Nashik thermal power plant (880 MW) at Eklahare & Indiabulls (1350
MW) at Sinnar making Nashik a load shading free city.
• Where every major city in India will face water crisis in the coming year. Nashik has 22 dams around the city &

Agriculture

• Fertile soil & ample rain fall makes Nashik a water rich city. A little wonder that
Nashik serves as the kitchen to India.

• The city is largest producer of onions, grapes, organic food, farm fresh food & cut
flowers in the country. Added to this is the highest fish cultivation in 22 dams.

• Nashik has been declared the Food Park of India & special subsidies; benefits have
