DESCRIBE WHAT IS ZOETROPE & ITS
HISTORY.
 ZOETROPE.
Zoetrope is pre – film animation device. It product the illusion of
motion. The zoetrope is a wheel of life, spin it & you will see the
images comes to life illusion of motion for constructed the
zoetrope a strip of still images or drawing & a drum that turned in
a circular fashion in order to create the motion. The motion of
illusion depends on two things which is produce of vision the phi-
phenomena this is invented in1884 by “William Horner”.
The theory of animated cartoon precede the invention cinema by a
half-century its name foam is Greek word “Zoe” meaning life &
“trope” means turning. Produce of vision refers to fraction of a
second that the eyes retinas an image on other hand the phi-
phenomena is refers if an illusion of motion we want to create by
stationary object its phi-phenomena for example we take two bulb
& put it to side by side & move it frequently it create motion of
moving light basically it used in theatre marquees beta movement
is a perceptual illusion in which a brain creates a relationship
between two or more still images viewed in succession. The brain
makes that assumption that they are one image that has change
positions are completely separate images & not recognizing the
trust. The word zoetrope there for can be take “wheel of life” or
“living life”.

 HISTORY OF ZOETROPE.
To creating the motion in still images the john bate in 1634 create
a device which he named “The mysteries of nature & art” in this he
put a light card with several images & for circular rotation he used
for spokes of wheel which is turned by passing heat a glass horn
cylindrical .this the first step towards motion pictures & device
which create motion in it. Before this moving lamp another device
called peepshow invent in 15th century in Europe also known as
perspective box. The box have an eye-hole in it which show cass

In old time the zoetrope considered to be the clearest explanation
of what animation at its core. The concept is moving forward &
related to other optical device like the flipbook. The thaumatrope
the praninoscope etc. This device is famous when it showcase in
UK & USA in 1867 by entirely different people.
WHY ZOETROPE IS AN IMPORTANT
DISCUSSION.
In old times the animation is one of the most appreciated work &
used for visual communication also the source of entertainment at
that time. Today if we seen every were there are multiple TV-
channels which showcase cartoons with different tilde & people
mostly enjoy it. This graphics take over our cell phones & seen as
new apps interfaces like gif, moving emoji’s etc. most of us here
course but have an unclear through. The era of seventies & eighties
is the era of experiments at that time zoetrope is invented which is
create motion in animation whether it is drawing or photographs.
This visual creates the assumption refers this is a moving film not
separate pictures. In 1908 a French old animator “Emile chol”
walking under street & caught his comic strips was stole & put as
poster by some animated company, co nl confronted the manager
& eLearning the damage the manger tired him as a scenarist at that
time we created one page story but in between February & may in
1908 he invented or created fastasmagsorie, which is first fully
animated film ever made. To create the scene of this animation he
used to filmed black lines on paper & printed them in negative to
make his animation appear to be cha drawing. In 1902 a French
film maker Georges Melies also known as the first cine magician
because he create magic in him work by using some effects which
is transition , multiplication ground breaking exploration of scale.
His films was 40 minutes in length & he started in between 1896-
1914 he also achieved national award just like them there are
animator comes with their now ideas which give progress in visual
effects the audience gets chances to see various types of images so
after them their in MCCAY little nemo is come 1911 who used to
draw paper with pen & animation in “true” animation at that he
was the finest cartoonist his moving comics were famous he make

stemming .his work was also knows as little nemo the simplest &

zoetrope & Zoopraxiscope motion pictures getting modify & this
animation demands to create more invention like zoetrope
basically it indication or demanding to modified motion projection
add some invention for better results also it create progress in
visual communication. In 1893 the “Muybridge” made an
Zoopraxiscope which he used to show the images in the copied
foam of silhouette. He was an urban, horse reader enterpurnor &
traveler photographer. He was hired by linen standard for capturing
the movement of horses when he give the results no one believe
him for. Muybridge used his innovation motion camera because it
was an scenically experiment also he was tired for it so but for
satisfaction of people who see his sequence of horse photography
he invented zoopraxiscope which help audience to understand sates
he have the prints of pictures layout in circle & put same size class
on it the artist copied the images by paint this disc get great
success because the accuracy of his photography he get the
contract from university & making several of zoopraxiscope disk.
The one more reason he invent this because he cannot take the
images on screen directly because it look disk or ted & projector
have limitation so pictures should be treated first so he invent this
device. The zoetrope is important to discuss because after cots of
experiments by the time this technology used in every era in today
time if see, GIF & video display technology such as streaming
video, which probably allows cinematographers to create motion
by disk create but close enough similar pictures one after other.
WHAT CAN BE ALTER OR RE MAKE BY

After zoetrope many inventions happened to make or create a
better version of animations from manual work to digital
work their lots of technology come to make animated
character alive which provide entertainment to each & every
era audience. In 2020 we face new motion graphics interfaces
for examples kinetic typography it is all about playing with
text or letters for distorting stretching & twisting & people
love it, merge 2D & 3D in this artist tells the story by
combining this two graphics & peoples like it, seamless
transition this effect create natural look in video & give
smooth flow in video there are many examples like this
broken text, animated logos, retro motion graphic, liquid
motion etc. It is shows by some study 38% of viewers are not
attracted towards boring apps interfaces so in use of motion
graphics templates in web & mobile apps is getting
representative for retaining visitors with animated logos &
giving life to boring graphics & loading screen. But all of this
motion graphics are come under the 3D motion graphics, 3D
everywhere comes first in the list where motion graphics
artists are highlight or point up inserting 3D elements
everywhere from the sales presentation to game design. For
modify 3D graphic motion there are some best soft wears
which is used by different artists to give an highlight to their
animation for level up their works for examples cinema 4D,
MAYA, blender, 3DX, Houdini each effect give visual
reality the best results & audience are involved in it.

CINEMA 4D.
Cinema 4D is a 3D modeling, animation, & rendering
software developed by MAXON. As MAYA, cinema 4D can
be used to animate objects or to generate visual effects, & is
especially appealing because of its motion graphics features.
This property helped cinema 4D gain popularity in
advertising & TV commercial production, yet, its ease of
access also made it a nice fit for other fields, such as
architecture visualization.

 TEAM WORK- REVIEW.

So we are the team of 5 members our project is zoetrope the
first motion picture project & make a report one it. As a team
our half work is done on the basis of our mutual
Understanding. In this pandemic & lockdown situation our
works. My team is expected three boys & two girls. Let me
introduced our names to you. MUHAMMAD SHABBIR,

NAZIR. The construction of zoetrope are look after by boys
& the report is look after by me & RAAZIA. We divide
reports works into parts I gather all the information from
social sites & make answer according to questions &
RAAZIA review answers and make report also we both help
each other. On other hands the boys can visit each other so
for making zoetrope. The zoetrope is made by our team is
different because we make an electrical zoetrope which is
move by the support of motor. This idea is given by
SHABBIR, USAID & SHAHZAIB will help him also the
animation strip is gives by them which is put in zoetrope. But
for excellent work each person of team is important. We
divide our works but continuously helping each other
weather it’s about zoetrope & report.
