Question no-1

The 20th century witnessed a lot of nationalist movements, which gave the birth of many
independent states. All these nationalist movements were led by some charismatic leaders who
could convince, organize, and motivate people by their character, speech, and wonderful
leadership. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mojibur Rahman was one of them. He was such a leader who
opened the eyes of the East Pakistani people about their right and led them towards
independence. He could ignite the light of the nationalist spirit among the people by his public
speaking capacity and heart-rending speech. His historic speech of 7th March 1971 is often
considered as one of the most influential speeches over the world.

Year 1971 16th December isn’t a day or year it is our most prestigious and significant
achievement to being a Bangladeshi to called a Bangladeshi. The war was just not about 9
months or 1971 it has been started for since many days ago. In that time there is no Bangladesh
there were just EAST PAKISTAN & WEST PAKISTAN. East Pakistan was
the eastern provincial wing of Pakistan between 1947 and 1971, covering the territory of the
modern country Bangladesh. East Pakistan was renamed from East Bengal by the One Unit
scheme of Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Ali of BOGRA. Our war started basically 1947
and ended in 1971 by sacrificing many freedom fighters.

To build the army and motivating the humans BANGOBONDHU played the most vital and
energetic role since 1947 to 1971. He inspires the human to fight whatever they have by giving
an “18.17 speech into Dhaka Race Course field”.

This time the struggle is for our independence. “He announced a civil disobedience movement in
the province, calling for "every house to turn into a fortress". The speech inspired the Bengali
people to prepare for a war of independence amid widespread reports of armed mobilization by
West Pakistan. The implications of his speech on today’s generation are given bellow:

The 18.17 second speech is a life changing speech for our country. It is also a very good impact
on us and next generation. The main moto to this speech is the love for the country, affection to
the people of East Pakistan means Bangladesh. We are the youth of our country and we need to
learn about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s nationalism, wisdom and internationalism
to progress in the unprecedented in our times.

Bangobandhus speech shows us the great leadership in year 2017 Bangobandhu Shaikh Mujibur
Rahmans speech gets the best speech by a leader in the last 100 years by UNICEF.

On the speech he shows and direct us about the fight, how to fight, why we will fight. He just
burns the spark of us to fight and this is how the leader actually does. In our modern life in many
situations we need to lead circumstances that time to be a good leader to show the path to the
whole team we need to follow the instructions how Bangobandhu leads us.

Bangobandhu was a true courage full man. Who has strongly in mentality. He was not to agree
for injustices. He was always ready to face any kind of situation at anywhere because of this
courage. For his courage he motivated us to fight for our right and country by his speech & that
time was the most dangerous time of the East and West Pakistan. This ability show us the how to
deal and fight with the situation with honesty and bravely. It also teach us nit willing with the
injustices. Fight for the own right.

Bangobanghu is very country loving person who just fight for the country to mother’s language
Bangla. For this he is also ready to die with the freedom fighter.

In this situation we the youth of Bangladesh can’t fight for the nation again. We the youth all we
can do the stand for the county by studying hard, stop drug addiction, being a good political
leader and etc. Many of us who is very good student and capable to be an asset to the country is
going abroad for their own life in this case other country is getting more benefitted above us.
Many big posted political leaders are corrupted too much because our youth sites are not so
strong.

Now all we can do stop these kinds of things practices the qualities of SHAIKH MUJIBUR
RAHMANS and to love our country. Our country is ours. If we practice these qualities today
then none but Bangladesh will be Shonar Bangladesh for sure. The dream what Bangobangdhu
has seen we can full fill it sure by practicing this qualities.
Question no-2

A prime minister is the head of the cabinet and the leader of the ministers in the executive branch
of government, often in a parliamentary or semi-presidential system. In most systems, the prime
minister is the presiding member and chairman of the cabinet. As the head of the government the
powers and functions performed by the Prime Minister are as follows.

1. Executive Power: The real Executive Powers of the government of the Republic of
Bangladesh are in the hands of the Prime Minister and his Council of Ministers. The
appointment of the ministers, high officials of the government, and all the functions of
judicial and foreign affairs are guided by the advice and decision of the Prime Minister.
In fact all the executive functions are performed by him/her.
2. Legislative function: Under his/her leadership the parliament creates laws of the country.
The activities of the Assembly are guided centering round the Prime Minister.
3. Financial function: At the instance and advice of the Prime Minister the finance Minister
prepares and places the yearly budget of income and expenditure.
4. Leadership related function: In the parliamentary system the leadership of the Prime
Minister is recognized everywhere. The Prime Minister is the leader of the majority
political party in the Assembly. He is the leader of the legislature. In the assembly his
position is unparalleled. The Prime Minister is the leader and chairman of the Council of
Ministers. Centering round him/her the Council of Ministers are formed, guided and
dissolved. The Prime Minister is the leader of the nation. She/he guides the programmers
on national basis. The Post of Prime Minister in Bangladesh is very important. Centering
round his/her the government, the country, and the nations are guided. Under his/her
leadership the functions and development of the state are dependent.

On the point of executive power we can see prime minister is and his/her team of minister is
main decision taker of foreign affairs. Padma River Bridge is one of the biggest projects of
Bangladesh history. In year 2010 prime minister has taken this decision by the Bangladesh
Bridge Authority (BBA) invited the pre-qualification tender for the project in April 2010. For
our better economy. But Construction of the bridge was expected to commence by early
2011 and be ready for major completion in 2013 (and complete all sections by late 2015).

The Padma Bridge is a multipurpose road-rail bridge across the Padma River, globally known as
the Ganges, under construction in Bangladesh. It will connect Louhajong, Munshiganj to
Shariatpur and Madaripur, linking the south-west of the country, to northern and eastern regions.
Padma Bridge is the most challenging construction project in the history of Bangladesh. The
two-level steel truss bridge will carry a four-lane highway on the upper level and a single track
railway on a lower level. With 150.12 m (492.5 ft) span, 6.241 km (3.878 mi) total length and
18.18 m (59.6 ft) width, it is going to be the longest bridge in Bangladesh, the second longest in
the Indo-Gangetic Plain after Bhupen Hazarika Setu in Assam and the longest over Ganges in
terms of both span and the total length. Padma Bridge, when commissioned, is expected to boost
the GDP of Bangladesh by as much as 1.2 percent.

After 2015 when the Padma river work started because of corruption by some people the plan
has been stopped cause world bank refuse to give the money and mean while Prime minister take
another decision to continue the process to build the bridge by our own money.

China proposed building the bridge on the build-own-transfer (BOT) basis by investing $2
billion or 70 percent of the project cost. Four companies—China Major Bridge Engineering
Company, Daelim-L&T JV and Samsung C&T Corporation—purchased the tender papers. But
only the Chinese company submitted their financial proposal on 24 April 2014.

Prime minister take a another decision to accepting the proposal of China to make the deal. In
2015 then the work started again about Padma River with the alliance with china which is the
most crucial decision taken by prime minister about our social economy.

As of July 2020, around 81% of the construction of the 6.15-kilometre-long two-tier Padma
Multipurpose Bridge has been completed. The China Major Bridge Engineering Corporation
(MBEC), which was appointed for the main bridge, will carry out the work. The bridge will have
a total of 41 spans.
Based on the passage above, the roles of Prime Minister of Bangladesh (SHAIKH HASINA)
toward the construction of the Padma Bridge are a Decision taker and leader. Who is making
decision at the crucial stages. In this case she & her team is the main decision taker by keeping
financial stage social economy and others in mind.
