Pedagogy Planning

In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the
board to place the words and suffixes into their correct category
and learn about suffixes.
Pedagogy

Activity 1) The lesson will begin with me giving a


lesson on suffixes. Students will be at their
desks while I am at the board conducting
an interactive & engaging lesson.
2) Next, I will show examples on the screen
and encourage students to participate in
group discussion to determine which
words have a suffix and/or specific
suffixes. (Ex.
3) Then, the main activity will begin. I will
demonstrate how to move the words on
the screen and where to put in each
category. Students will come up one at a
time to the board and move the words into
their correct category. I will be engaging
them through the activity while assisting
as needed.

*Note: This activity can also be replicated and


used for prefixes, homophones, synonyms, and
antonyms as listed in the learning standard.
