What standards or LOs were being addressed in the lesson?

 Listening : To listen to a song and to identify long o sounds.


 Speaking: To say words containing the long o sound.
 Reading: To read a story with words containing the long o sound.
 Writing: To fill in the missing words using topic vocabulary.

How did you cater for learners with special needs, and for differentiation? There is no SEN,
I was creating differentiation activities for each level group.

How did you use positive reinforcement? Methods? For what? I was using the spinning tool
for names, Classdojo and oral feedback.

How did you sequence or scaffold activities so that they built gradually towards the learning
objectives?
Before the students start working on the activities. I try to ask some questions according to the
lesson that is taught so then, I start explaining the activity and show them how to do it then they
start by themselves.

Overall aim and context of the lesson (that is, describe the lesson’s place in the unit of work.
What did students need to know before today’s LOs were addressed? What topic comes
next and how did today’s lesson prepare students for that?) Students will have back ground
about vowels.

Where did the lesson take place? In Microsoft teams – Alataa school
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? To provide the students what they need to
understand the lesson and to have a full effective lesson with 21st skills.
What did the students do? Students were responding how I was excepting from them and
answer my questions .

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did? The students were able to
answer most of the teacher questions.

How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding? I asked them
questions about the picture that they saw.

How well did you engage the students? I was giving them oral feedbacks.

Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective.
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals? Use your students’ performance on the end of
lesson assessment as support (Give proof in your portfolio) The students were able to answer
all of my questions and I try as much as I can to give the students questions to check their
understanding.

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future? I will try to give them
more time on activities time.

What are the implications for your professional practice of helping students to enhance
their learning in this particular way? (i.e. what skill will you have to develop or learn?
What professional development will you have to undertake?) I will try to use positive
reinforcement in my teaching .
