Purpose
The purpose of creating an instruction how-to video on using PowerPoint to create a graphic is
to provide additional clarification for the learning using audio and video aids. The video
provides a step-by-step demonstration of the written instructions.

Target Audience
The desired target audience consist of new training instructors who are seeking tools and
guidance on how to incorporate low-cost, widely-accessible technology resources to enhance
their instructional experience. The learners are in a virtual learning environment and a video
presentation delivers the instructors lesson on-demand.

Software
- Mac Computer, YouTube
Revision: I selected Youtube as a video editing and publishing software because it is free and
widely accessible to almost all web users. Students watching and using the video I created as a
resource should have access to a Mac or Windows PC. Using the built-in screen recording
functions available on personal computers is a cost-efficient means of creating a multimedia
without incurring additional cost or fees. Both resources are user friendly and do not required
extensive training on how to use each program. The target audience are typically subject matter
experts who want to create presentations with ease and not have to shift their entire focus on
the cost of learning and creating multimedia presentation. Using easy and affordable software
best suits my target audiences needs.
With the goal of presenting low-cost technology resources, YouTube is a free multimedia
editing software that is available to the target audience. Recording is conducted using my
personal computer (the recording options are available on Window and Mac systems).

element to the page. Click on the YouTube element to add the URL of the video you just
created and uploaded to Youtube.

You should see your thumbnail image on the website. Click publish to make your edits visible.

Conceptual Framework Process

With making how-to video of a process I documented in written form the framework is setup
for instruction. The flowchart is generalize because the steps and flow of the video have been
written out in an instructional document.
Revision: Using a flowchart and conceptual framework while creating the video helped me
establish and remain focused on the intended content. At times, when I forgot the next steps or
speaking points, I looked to the flow chart and conceptual framework to remain on task. This
process helped me deliver the correct how-to steps in the appropriate and most helpful order
for the learners watching the video.
