1. What is Sedentary lifestyle?
You have probably heard of all of these phrases, and they mean the same thing: a lifestyle with a
lot of sitting and lying down, with very little to no exercise. In the United States and around the
world, people are spending more and more time doing sedentary activities.

2. How Recreational Activities affects the following:


a. Mental Health - Participating in recreational activities helps manage stress. Taking time to
nurture oneself provides a sense of balance and self-esteem, which can directly reduce anxiety and
depression.
b. Social Health - improves concentration skills and ability to manage anxiety and stress.
enhanced social skills - develops skills such as cooperation and teamwork, and a great way to have fun,
meet new people and develop friendships.
c. Psychological Health - Mental wellness is critical to overall physical health. Participating
in recreational activities helps manage stress. Taking time to nurture oneself provides a sense of balance
