Scaffolding (child’s prior knowledge to build on):

- The children will be building on the knowledge they have of using their hands to do

activities and color-recognition.

Plan for carrying out experience (what caregiver will do):

- The caregiver can do more experiences such as this one but with different colored

rice so that the children can see more different colors while learning new problem

skills, and using their eye-hand coordination.

Assessment

A. How would you be able to determine the success of this activity?

- If the child is able to pour the rice in the bottles/containers, I feel that would be able to

determine the success of this activity.

B. Do you feel children's knowledge base will change after this experience? (Do I see

new knowledge being learned in other areas?)

- Yes, I feel the children’s knowledge base will change after this experience because

this activity there are many developmental opportunities such as color-recognition,

eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, problem skills, etc.
