• There will always be two hall passes hanging by the classroom door
• Green is for anywhere around the school, library, front office, another classroom
etc.
• Purple is the girls restroom pass
• Yellow is the boys restroom pass
• Hall passes must be used whenever you leave the classroom
• When using a hall pass remember to always sign your name on the sign out sheet
and always sign back in.

• 1 pack of #2 pencils
• 1 box of tissue
• 1, 1 in. 3 ring binder
• Hand sanitizer
• 1 box of 24 count crayons
• Expo markers
• 1 pink eraser
• Copy paper
• 1 pair of scissors
• 1 pencil case
• 2 glue sticks
• 2 wide rules spiral notebooks
• 2 pocket folders
• We will continue to develop our reading skills but will
use more complex words and longer readings.
• We will act out a part from our favorite books and
use the book as a script.

- A Bad Case of the Stripes – David Shannon
- Adrian Simcox Does Not Have a Horse – Mary
Campbell & Corinna Luyken
- Fudge-a-Mania – Judy Blume

• Opinion Pieces – We will write about our opinion on something and provide
reasons to support our opinion, with a conclusion.
• Narrative Pieces – We will write about an event, describing actions, thoughts, and
feelings, as well with a conclusion.
• Writing Journals – We will have journals where we write about what we did over
the weekend or on breaks.
• Research & Report –You will pick a fascinating topic and do research on the topic.
We will create an informative collage, magazine, or article about the topic you
pick!
• We will continue to add and subtract but we will eventually be able to do so by
memory so that we can be quicker!
• We will learn the difference between odd and even numbers
• We will tell time using analog and digital clocks
• We will learn how to begin to solve word problems involving money!
• We will also spend some time on CoolMath.com

CoolMathGames
• Compare Texture – We will collect different textures such as sticks, leaves, grass,
and stones and we will talk about them and how they feel and look different.
• Read & Report –You will pick a scientific topic such as animals, space, human body,
nature etc. and we will create an informative project to present to the class!
• 5 Senses – We will be learning about out five senses and what they are for!
