1. Unit/Chapter Goal/s:
Lesson 10: Mixed Numbers
Students will be able to understand what mixed fraction and how to solve the problem when they
got problem with mixed fraction.
2. Learning Objectives:
Cognitive: Students will be able to explain what are the part of the mixed fractions.
Affective: Students will be able to practice drawing mixed fractions by looking at the number form.
Psychomotor: Students will be able to identify which number is whole numbers, numerator and
denominator when they see number form or picture.
3. Materials: (books, white board, A4 sheet)
4. Intro/Anticipatory Set: (Review their previous knowledge about Fractions including proper and
improper fractions)
5. Procedure:
Draw simple fraction by using square or circles
Ask who can write in numbers form
Ask what is it call
Choose students to explain
Draw mixed fraction using square or circle
Ask how will they write in number form
Choose two or three students to write
Let them to explain why they write like that
Explain what is mixed fraction
Let them to do identifying mixed fraction exercise
