Lesson 2: What are Simple Machines?
Students will be able to understand and explain what simple machines are and six simple
machines.
2. Learning Objectives:
Cognitive: Students will be able to explain what simple machines are and six simple machines.
Affective: Students will be able to express their opinion about what simple machines are and six simple
machines.
Psychomotor: Students will be able to share their knowledge about six simples which is helping with
their daily stuff.
3. Materials: (books, white board, A4 sheet)
Intro/Anticipatory Set: (Review their previous knowledge about simple machine)
4. Procedure:
o Ask their prior knowledge about simple machines
o Choose two or three students to answer
o Explain about what is a simple machine
o List 6 types of simple machines
o Ask what they know about those machines and have they ever used them before
o Explain each types of simple machines
o Give examples of each types of simple machines
o Ask for more examples of each types of simple machines
o Let them do classwork
5. Instructional Methodology: (direct and indirect instruction)
6. Assessment: (Let students to do the classwork and homework)
7. Assignment/Follow Up: Homework sheet for simple machines
