Safety and Bicycling
Students will be able to recognize what are the rules for safe bicycling and safe driving, and
traffic signs and signals.
2. Learning Objectives:
Cognitive: Students will be able to compare road rules for safe bicycling and safe driving.
Affective: Students will be able to identify traffic sign and signals.
Psychomotor: Students will be able to practice safe bicycling.
3. Materials: (books, projector, PowerPoint)
4. Intro/Anticipatory Set: (Review, and let students answer what kind of traffic sign do they usually see?)
5. Procedure:
Ask question about prior knowledge on traffic signs
List down what they answer on the board
Ask what can they do to ride a bike safely?
Explain each safety rules
Then Ask students what can they do to ride a bike safely at night?
Show PowerPoint and discuss about what they can do when they ride bicycle at night
Discuss about how they should check bicycle before they ride
Let students raise the hand and ask the question one at a time.
Explain students about the rules for bicycling
Ask what kind of traffic sign do they usually see on the road
Explain each sign mean
Let them read life skill story and let them think about the solution
Explain solution
Summarize the whole lesson
