Preventing Violence
Students will be able to recognize how to help community safer and less violent by preventing
from violence.
2. Learning Objectives:
Cognitive: Students will be able to understand the types of violence and threat when they encounter with
stranger.
Affective: Students will be able to identify the violence and threat when they are dealing with their
friends.
Psychomotor: Students will be able to practice resolving conflicts during the class.
3. Materials: (books, projector, PowerPoint)
4. Intro/Anticipatory Set: (Review, and let students answer what kind of traffic sign do they usually see?)
5. Procedure:
Ask question about prior knowledge on violence
List down what they answer on the board
Ask what are they going to do when they found a gun
Choose one or two students to answer
Explain what they should do
Ask have they ever deal with any threat
Let three or four students to answer
Explain how they can deal with threats
Explain why young join gangs
Ask how they will help community safe and less violent
Explain how they can help their community to be safe
Let them read life skill story and let them think about the solution
Explain solution
Summarize the whole lesson
