Questions #1: Write down the advantages and disadvantaged of Computer?
Answer:
Computer has making human life faster because it is incredible speed,Accuracy and
storage, with it human can save anything and search it out easily when it needed. We
can also say computer as a versatile machine because it is very flexible in performing
their jobs. but Computers have several important advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages of computer
Multitasking
Speed
Now computer is not just a calculating device, it also have very important role in
human life Now a days. One of the main advantages of computer is its incredible
speed, which helps human to complete their task in few seconds. All the operations
can be performed very fast just because of its speed elsewise it takes a long time to
perform the task.
It is a low cost solution. Person can save huge data within a low budget. Centralized
database of storing information is the major advantage that can reduce cost.
Accuracy
One of the root advantage of computer is that can perform not only calculations but
also with accuracy.
Data Security
Protecting digital data is known as data security. Computer provide security from
destructive forces and from unwanted action from unauthorized users like cyber
attack or access attack.
Disadvantage of Computer
Virus is a worm and hacking is simply an unauthorized access over computer for
some illicit purpose. Virus is being transferred from email attachment, viewing an
infected website advertisement, through removable device like USB etc. once virus is
transferred in host computer it can infect file, overwrite the file etc.
For example: Huge portion of internet was going down including Twitter, Netflix,
Reddit and CNN in October 2016 because the largest DDoS attack was launched on
service provider DYN using IoT Botnet.
Mainly past generation was not used of the computer or they have the knowledge of
computer they faced a big problem when computer came in field. As we have seen in
banking sector senior bank employees faced this problem when computer came to
the banking sector.
Answer:
Printer:
Printers are Output devices used to prepare permanent Output devices on paper.
Types Of Printer:
Impact Printers : In this hammers or pins strike against a ribbon and paper to print
the text. This mechanism is known as electro-mechanical mechanism. They are of
two types.
Character Printer : It prints only one character at a time. It has relatively slower
speed. Eg. Of them are Dot matrix printers.
Dot Matrix Printer : It prints characters as combination of dots. Dot matrix printers
are the most popular among serial printers. These have a matrix of pins on the print
head of the printer which form the character. The computer memory sends one
character at a time to be printed by the printer. There is a carbon between the pins &
the paper. The words get printed on the paper when the pin strikes the carbon. There
are generally 24 pins.
Laser Printer:
Laser Printer is a type of printer that utilizes a laser beam to produce an image on a
drum. The light of the laser alters the electrical charge on the drum wherever it hits.
The drum is then rolled through a reservoir of toner, which is picked up by the
charged portions of the drum. Finally, the toner is transferred to the paper through a
combination of heat and pressure.
a printing device (such as a laser printer) in which a printing element does not directly
strike a surface.
Laser, LED, inkjet, solid ink, thermal wax transfer and dye sublimation printers are
examples of non-impact printers.
Questions #3: What is Mouse? Difference between Floppy Disk & USB?
Answer:
Mouse:
A mouse is a small hardware input device used by hand. It controls the movement of
the cursor on the computer screen and allows users to move and select folders, text,
files, and icons on a computer. It is an object, which needs to put on a hard-flat
surface to use.
Hard Disk
Floppy Disk
Questions #4: A person use Hard Disk for Data Storage why u
recommended him USB for data Storage?
Answer:
We can use the USB instead of hard disk to store data because USB is also a data
storage device.
USB is not without its limitations, such as smaller storage capacity, but USB consume
up to 50% less power than similar capacity hard derive disk, and are capable of much
faster read/write speeds. Average HDDs cap out at 120 MB/s, while many Flash
drives(USB) are capable of read/write speeds in excess of 500 MB/s.
In addition to offering greater speed, USB is durable when it comes to physical
damage and are less susceptible to unexpected failures. They provide this
robustness in a dramatically smaller package. These are the two main HDD vs USB
differences.
Importantly, USB does not suffer from fragmentation issues. This makes them
particularly viable options for software that operates random write procedures —
common with VDI systems and storage control software like that offered by NetApp or
Nimble.
USB is faster, do not suffer from fragmentation issues, are less susceptible to
physical damage and unexpected failure — all delivered in a smaller and more
energy-efficient package. However, you pay for all of this with upfront costs. HDD
costs around $0.03 per GB, while SDD will run closer to $0.20 per GB.
Reasons:
(II) USB is small and uses less power, but is more expensive
Because USB flash drives are solid state devices, they are more rugged or less prone
to data loss than hard drives. However, flash drives are significantly smaller than
most hard drives and , cannot hold nearly as much data.
