MOTHERHOOD

“There is no role in life more essential and more eternal than that
of motherhood,”. “We women live in homes under many different
circumstances—married, single, widowed, or divorced, some with
children and some without—all are beloved of God, and He has a
plan for us His righteous daughters to receive the highest
blessings of eternity.”

“There is no one perfect way to be a good mother,” “Our situation

is unique. We mothers has different challenges, different skills
and abilities, and certainly different children We are able to be
‘full-time moms,’ and that some may divide their lives into the
periods of home and family and work,” but that “what matters is
that we loves our children deeply and, in keeping with the
devotion for God and our husband, prioritizes them above all
else.”

Nurturing Is an Eternal Role

Among the most important roles for us mother is to nurture.
Nurturing love arouses our children, from the earliest days on
earth, an awakening of the memories of love and goodness they
experienced in their pre-mortal existence,”

God's Special Promise to Mothers

In Isaiah 40:11
He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his
arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those
that have young.
The Lord has a very special promise to us mothers...  He gently
leads those that have young...

The Good Shepherd's ways are indeed gentle, and we can take
comfort in that.  We hear God's voice, gently leading us, through
prayer and His Word.

Let's take our queues as mothers from the mother of Jesus as we

look at how God's special promise for us to carried out in life of
obedience.

God's Promise Cultivates Obedience

Like Mary, God gave us our children to dedicate to Him out of

OBEDIENCE to His Word.

It’s never too early to dedicate children to the Lord.   Even before
our children are born and continually thereafter, we should
diligently pray for their salvation, and their walk of obedience in
Christ.  When we dedicate our children to the Lord, we are
allowing God to lead us as we train them in the fear and
admonition of the Lord.

The lives of our children will bring blessings and heartache.   But
through our OBEDIENCE in entrusting our children to the Lord,
we will be blessed ten-fold through their joys, and receive strength
to endure when we see our children suffering.

You don’t have to have Kids to be a great mother.

There are other ways to nurture—including adopting and
providing guidance to young relatives and school-age girls.

Single Women and Married Women

Reflect on the ways you bring forth life and nurture the lives of people around you. Keep
a running list of the names, situations, and experiences. Thank God for these people
and blessings.

Write a note and drop it in the mail to some of your married friends. Let her know why
you cherish your friendship, how she inspires you, and encourage her in her role of
physical motherhood.
