significance or impact of the issue or topic discussed in one of the stories/features from today’s episode. (10)
Millions of Americans used to have a 90% demand for seafood but now COVID-19 has impacted this
industry negatively. With the closure of restaurants and the drop in seafood value, fisherman have turned to food
stimulus and drives, giving out fish to people in need. 50 million Americans are estimated to be food insecure as
of right now which is not the best predicament to be in during a pandemic. Food insecurity decreases the ability
to develop in agriculture. This plan has turned around to help them help others. This can give people access to
the fundamental nutrition that is needed and global security. Hopefully, this plan stays the same even after
COVID-19 is over.
