flow, which can damage the paint surface of
the cab.
Collect the fluid in a container and then dis-
pose of the fluid properly.

Fig. 16 SM19-693
6. Suspend the cab with crane or hoist in the position
of the “Over-tilt” and fix the cab so it will not move.
NOTE: Removal of the anchor levers is dangerous if
not performed properly. Be sure to follow in-
structions with care.

INSPECTION OF THE TORSION BARS

Inspect the torsion bars, brackets and related parts
for damage or cracks.
NOTE: ● Replace the torsion bar if it is severely
rusted. A rusted torsion bar may be bro-
ken while tilting, and it is very dangerous.
● If wear or fatigue are found in the nylon
bushing or rubber bushing inserted in the
tilt hinge bracket, even if it is slight, replace
Fig. 22 SM19-699
it.
● When assembling nylon bushing, apply
chassis grease to the inner side of the ny-
lon bushing.

REPLACEMENT OF THE TORSION BARS

1. Replace the torsion bars, “LH” bar in the lower posi-
tion and “RH” bar in the upper position.
