Competition
Chosen competition was the Bristol Independent Film Festival, or BIFF for
short. Started in 2016, it is a UK based film competition that allows for a large
amount of variety in its content, be it documentaries, short or feature films or
even animation, with a variety of awards for different categories of film based
off key qualities, direction and cinematography, writing and acting. All
reviewed by industry professionals and viewing audiences.
Idea outline
Two policemen are tasked with a steak-out mission with reports of a deal going
down between to criminal representatives. They wait for the deal to go down
but find themselves incredibly bored. As the day continues the two of them keep
arguing and find themselves at more increasing odds. It all culminates in them
causing the two criminals (one there to drop off the money, the other they’re
watching) to notice the cops and they give chase. Each one going after another
and all culminating at the nearby church where the two cops' team up and take
down the criminals together, learning to work together instead of against each
other. But in the end they end up still hating each other still and the film ends on
a sour note for them.

Target Audience
My target audience is the age range of late teens to young adults, 14–24-year-
olds. Relatively young demographic for my audience due to the more
lighthearted and crude humour and one of the main leads being characterised as
a young policeman.
My main demographic is those who enjoy comedies such as Life on Mars and
Edgar Wright styled humour films, crude and over the top in nature, but also
people who enjoy films with more reserved and conversational humour as such
Pulp fiction and reservoir dogs, my film uses both forms of humour throughout.
